What a player. He lost form and came back. What a legend!
He has to be first choice for the Boks at wing until the 2015 World Cup

Habana is the best wing of the professional era, maybe ever.
Some would diasagree, but perhaps this is due to national bias.
Jeff Wilson was great, Joe Roff was great, Shane Williams, Jona Lomu etc.,
however I think that an objective analysis if possibale, would prove Habana is the best.
Christian Cullen was a great wing, but probably the best fullback of the professional era, if not ever.
Habana is such a legend. It has been amazing watching him at the Bulls, and then the Stormers- but especially for the boks!
Look forward to him still playing for the Boks at least until 2015
Pure class. I think he will come back for a swan song. He still wants to play for Boks while overseas if Meyer will let him.
Sad to see him going. Years of watching van der Heever dong absolutely fuck all ahead for Stormers supporters.
I wanna kill myself already
This should be titled Habana the Average. Habana has always been an opportunist rather than a creator of anything special and his habit of always trying for the intercept made him a liability on defence.
You Yarpies are so used to having weak wings that you think an average winger is suddenly world class. Habana wouldn't make the All Black bench and tbh, I can't think of too many NZ S15 franchises who would give him a start.
Ka Mate most of your wings are big and fast, but many are clumsy and not all round rugby players.
Just kick the ball behind them and they are totally lost.
Take for example the "great" Jonu Lomu never scored a try against the Springboks, but his corner was a defensive sieve. Kick the ball behind him, and he was lost. The boks scored many tries in his corner.
also, when defenses are tight these great wings suddenly dissapear.
Habana was awared international try of the year last year by the IRB, along with his past IRB player of the year award. Your wings are good with the ball in hand but poor is most other aspects of the game.
Habana has just signed a deal with high spending Toulon, which makes him the biggest earning outside back.
Much more than Rene Ranger is going to earn in France who is probably the best outside back in NewZealand at the moment.
Ka Mate
With the constant kick and chase game plan that was implemented after 2008 onwards Habana rarely got many opportunities with ball in hand hence why intercepting became a more convenient option for him to get the ball. I disagree Habana has always been a opportunist than a creator, not that it matters, wingers are supposed to be good finishers with speed. Many times Habana has created tries for others in the past, the latest one that I can remember was against Italy when Habana set up JJ Engelbrecht against Italy this year, that proves you wrong. Habana will be remembered for generations, he is without a doubt one of the best wingers to ever play the game. You are a fool to think otherwise.
Ka Mateso him running into a gap when he receives a pass make him average? Habana is not a opportunist its the way SA play. We pinned yourself in your own half give you the ball and feed of your mistakes.
Where have you been the last 9 to 10 years? Under a rock?
Ka Mate you either know nothing about rugby, or are totally biased to your own country.
Either way, it equates to no objective view, which is the same as knowing nothing.
It use to work until you had the laws change. See unlike u's we don't pay and offer blowjobs to the Pacific Island nations as well as Canada for a yes vote when they make the law changes.
