According to News 24, the Hawks have arrested Cheeky Watson and a couple of his slimy friends on corruption charges.
A little bit of good news on this dark day for the whole of South Africa.

It is more of an evil laugh Cloudy. Watson is a universally hated individual on this site, so the fact that he has been arrested should make a few folks happy. Just a quick history, he was the President of the Kings rugby union he was probably the main reason they are now bankrupt. Also, he is very arrogant and has a very checkered past. Add to that the fact that he is probably corrupt as well, and you see why most will be happy he has been arrested.

The former sport minister Fikile Mabalula will now be the minister of Police ... ha ha ha .... and you think they will prosecute Cheeky Watson?

Hard to understand when you live in Australia or NZ .Seems to me that people voting against their own best interest enable corruption ,usually for a tiny bone thrown their way.

The results of an uneducated electorate, mate. Go onto YouTube and search for stuff like SA Parliament, Zuma, Maleme, etc. But hey, that is what the world wanted for South Africa. That is what the result was.

The results of an uneducated electorate, mate.

This means that an educated electorate gets rid of corruption and allows the confirmation of the best interest.

This is unsupported by observations around the world. Educated voters do not get rid of corruption. Educated voters do not vote their best interests.
All around the world, people vote and despite voting, their best interests are ignored.

SA's situation is somewhat worse.
The enlarged franchise was introduced when the depletion of resources was granted.
It meant that most of SA environment was shipped away.

The best interest for the SA population was that most of the environment was conserved.

People in SA, educated or not, can vote as much as they want, the vote is not going to change the outflow of resources, past and present.

Absolute bollocks

What do you think the current ANC government relies on to still rape all our resources and steal the  tax payers money.

They rely on the uneducated population not knowing what is really going on, but still voting for them anyway.

The trad, seriously, WTF are you smoking??? The slow and steady depletion of resources is a fact of life for every country on earth. Countries like Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland have farkall resources, yet their populations for the most part have a fantastic living standard. The big difference is that their politicians are accountable for things they are caught doing wrong. Their populations are well educated and make informed votes. In SA there is no accountability and there are masses of uneducated and uninformed voters. There wasn't accountability in apartheid and there isn't any now! Both the apartheid government and the government of today have failed. In other words, take your stupid ill informed agenda and shove where your boyfriend sticks his peepee.

Educated people do not eradicate corruption.

As to raping resources, the most of it was done before the ANC went in charge. That is why there was a change in regime.

As to steal tax payer money, the rand is going to lose more and more value.

The most of the plundering act was done. People today are mere carrions.

The slow and steady depletion of resources is a fact of life for every country on earth.

Slow and steady? What is fast?

The slow depletion was what could be expected from the indigenous populations.
With excellent men, it took a few lifetimes to reach the bottom.

Countries like Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland have farkall resources, yet their populations for the most part have a fantastic living standard.

If they manage that miracle, they'd better stop guzzling all the resources they do to sustain their living standard.

Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland bathe in resources, including those that have been shipped away from SA.
There is no country in the world that has a high living standard that does not bathe in resources.

Trad, there are more than enough resources left in SA for all our citizens to prosper. Unfortunately our government is corrupt and refuse to properly educate our populace. You can harp on about your excellent arseholes, the fact remain that they are raping this country like never before.
