We are a few weeks in to Super rugby and have had a good handful of new or rejuvenated players putting their hands up. Top of the list is Fassi at 15 who has been sublime with ball in hand On the wing we have Tambwe and Green No centres unfortunately as we have not seen anything new there - it’s a pity we have yet to see Baby Boks, James Mollentze at the Lions and Rickus Pretorious at the Stormers Nohamba at 9 has been very good at the Sharks and I’m surprised we have not seen more of him starting Ox Nche has been a good replacement for Beast at the Sharks and is in good form. Joseph Dweba at hooker for the Cheetahs has Bok written all over him. van Vuuren at the Sharks looks good. Ruben Schoeman has been the standout forward for the Lions as an enforcer lock, big boy with a high work rate. Moerat has been good and Ruben v Heerden has impressed me at the Sharks James Venter at the Sharks provides us with a true fetcher role, he has been outstanding. Dylan Richardson looks equally good there in his one outing for the Sharks. I like the look of Tshituka at the Lions playing 7 but looks better suited to 8. Tyler Paul of the Sharks is a workhorse Notshe has been simply brilliant for the Sharks as has Jaco Coetzee for the Stormers

Just pick the Sharks XV, stick Pieter-Steph in as a lock and Cheslin on the wing and we're sorted.

I'm a bit puzzled . . . why would you put a lumbering donkey who is also the most over-hyped player of all time into the team at lock when you could have 2 time SA Player of the Year and current World Rugby Player of the Year there instead?

You did an edit in that case. I'd ask the same question even after the edit, why dump JL du Preez (your original pick at #7) rather than the overhyped donkey?
Nope, my Bok side is the one I mentioned further up the page . . . the current Sharks XV with Pieter-Steph and Cheslin.

Eben was back to his best this year, often times dragging the two biggest opposition players with him a couple meters in attack, and dominating in defence. Also is a major contributor in the lineout, stealing ball constantly, and whilst not noticeable was part of a dominant scrum.

Notshe won't make it in the test arena, he's not abrasive enough, a player like Jaco Coetzee will.

Notshe would be ideal off the bench
