I'd initially thought the he pulled a glute or hamstring when seeing the injury last year.

It appears that it's a knee injury and he's still recovering from it. It's close to a year ago now. Perhaps he is simply being extra cautious but he's been out other game for ages now.

Really feel sorry for him but at this point we have to wonder if it's time to start excluding him from the conversation because we don't know when he'll be back and how long it will take him to find form once he does return.

Kolisi did him dirty with that cleanout.

Pity

The Bulls needs some real loosies like Haneom and not shot like Van Staaden. They also need centers and of Pollard's performance on Saturday is borne in mind they need another flyhalf as well.

I know it's part of the game but my heart breaks for these chaps. Hanekom was on absolute fire and then copped a bunch of injuries.

A highlight of last year for me was how quickly Wiese recovered from what was initially thought to be a serious neck injury and then he had exactly the type of year I was hoping for.

Lets hope Elrigh gets on now and has a good run through the AB series and then into the WC.

Brilliant player….really smart and effective in every facet of loosie play. Hope he makes it back fully intact.

Rudolph is far more effective and impressive than Elrigh at the moment.

I always feel like those serious knee injuries take about a year of recovery and another season or so before the player is back to where he was.

See Marx injury at the World Cup and how he only started coming good this season again.

Now I see this article paired a few weeks back where Akkerman says;

"We can’t determine an exact return date. It’s a daily and weekly process of monitoring how his hamstring responds to rehab."

And earlier in the article it says it was a hamstring tendon.

So yeah, I guess it wasn't a knee then.
