The squad will be named tomorrow and All Blacks coach Steve Hansen has revealed they'll be taking 34 players instead of the advertised 33.

When quizzed whether that will be a backup in case Daniel Carter is to get injured, Steve Hansen's revealed it will be elsewhere in the side.

"That won't be the extra player. I'll explain it all on Monday the extra player. It's something exciting...come and listen."

Speculation is it could be Liam Squire or maybe another Mighty Chiefs player starring in the ITM from Counties, Taranaki or Tasman??...Can't go wrong with the Mighty Chiefs ay JW ..

Brycy: so many choices mate, lol It could be any of a dozen players.  Always good to let fans & players know not to give up on their favourite player making it to the ABs. I really like the "bolter" idea.  Chiefs back-line is going to be killer next season.

JW, yup knowing Hansen it'll be another Cantab... but did you see the Chiefs new centre playing for Taranaki...?? ...played a big hand in Taranaki's semifinal win over Auckland... so looking forward to seeing him running off SBW...more likely he'll play for Fiji than NZ but reminds me of Kuridrani the way he busts tackles...

That was a great game Brycy... went into overtime & Tarakaki showed they deserved to be in the final. Auckland had some really good players.
Yeah the commentator were raving about Seta Tamnivalu & how if he was playing outside SBW it would be fantastic. Anyone would look good playing outside SBW but this Seta guy has talent & we are in for some thrills. Go Chiefs!!

Wardad
The Chiefs have an excellent bakline - and with Cane as loosie they have a top player as well.   However, I think they have a problem elsewhere.    If they can fix up their Tight 5 - they may have a chance - but there i no sign yet of that happening.   messm has been going backwards this year and they need another top loosie as well.

A Kiwi walks into a pub with a parrot on his shoulder.

The barman says, "Bugger me, mate, that's a fancy looking thing. Where'd you get that?"

The parrot replied, "Down at Centrelink mate, there's hundreds of the bastards!"
