Gota love the Kiwi's after their unbeaten season. Oh how they were 1 shock penalty miss from Sexton to having their worst ever season. all the previous 12 wins count for nothing when you lose your first game in 100 years to the Irish and the saying, you are only as good as your last game.
13 from 13 means nothing in 2013 but will mean everything in 2015. What has been determined on this tour in my opinion from NH teams is how to stop the Boks dominance in 2015. For some reason, I dont think they fear the AB's anymore. Next year, expect a lot more belief from the NH boys against the AB's.
Can the Kiwi's honestly (not a word usually associated with kiwi rugby men) say that they had as much dominance over their opponents on this tour than the Boks did?
Boks should have beaten the frogs 33-10. Fourie was disallowed for some reason we will never know and Louw should have been awarded that try after Huget failed to control in goal and merely pushed the ball back for Louw to ground. Neither one of our 3 games did it ever look like we would lose or were being dominated. England dominated for much of the Twickenham test against AB's. France had much more room to move against them and we all know what Ireland should have done had Sexton done his job. A bit of belief from those 3 teams and NZL could have enjoyed their worst ever season!
I say Beeno is delusional as he thinks we have won the last 4 against the AB's. We haven't but we will. I dont disagree with Beeno that the Boks are forming an allround better team. We will have a decent attack, excellent pack with excellent defence. All NZL has to date is a great attack.
Next year super 15 I hope to see JJ tackling much lower and sparking some backline movements. His pace is exciting and if he can sort out the other parts of his game, as well as one of Lambie, Goosen or Catrakilis coming through (they are all ready now) there is no reason we cant match the AB's in the backs.
So on a final word Kiwi's and seriously. Congrats on the record. Your boys were tested at times and pulled through. Enjoy it..Not for too long though. You guys have a lot of work to do if you want to stay at the top. I am not convinced and can honestly say, despite NZL's record year, I feel a lot more confident in the Boks next year.
