Rooi, strong looking on paper! But after watching the Lions game, nothing will surprise me. Lions did play very well though, it has to be said.
Question, is Oliver Kebble family of Guy Kebble?

Bluebok

Oliver is Guy Kebble's son.

I am very worried about the above team because -

*   Carriza and Kolisi was the worst performing players on Saturday and did squat of value;

*   Burger was useless and only slightly better than the latter 2.

Burger is completely out of depth on Super 15 level and should not even be on the bench.   The other two should have been benched until they prove that they can perform better when brought from the bench.

The team looks a bit better but I still think that they will struggle. Not holding my breath this season. The Stormers could be on track for 6 straight losses. I don't see how they are going to win any overseas games. Coetzee has completely ruined the Stormers depth.
I think on the paper the team looks fine, its more the tactics and preparation that worries me

Moz I think ou rooitwit will be cheering on the hurricanes. He is a closet kiwi/ab fan methinks! Likes to curry favour with the kiwis here. get soime much needed support.
I think Groom and grant make a better half bak pair. Grewat Pity two of our best tight forwards are out - Etzebeth and Tiaan Libenberg.
The hapless Kolisi and wee scurra are in weakening the pack. The Stormers pack at full strength is top notch. Burger is still to hit his straps I agree and I would play him off the bench. Best for Burger and the etam.  Ease the guy in.
rooitwit dont count your chickens before they hatch. The hoped for humiliation of the Stormers hasnt happened yet and  canes haven't won just yet. What a plonker ou rooitwit is!!

I have noticed that Rooipoes does love the homo shit and often referring to stormers being teams prison brides and shit!
Could this be the reason the decrepit old sod is so unhappy? Did he not get the chance to tell his hillbilly folks that it's been a dark life in that closet.
Now Rooi, allow me to play Cupid. Somewhere deep in the sticks of Essex lives a man just like u. He just seems to prey on little school boys. He knows heaps about them too. Especially South African ones even though he lives thousands of Km away. He, like you, married a women and ha a kid as a cover up but he was fooling no one and the marriage dissolved. He is currently single and unhappy just like u. Go on, make each other happy.
This critter is far past the point of pretending now which is evidenced by his reluctance to give the "smashing" Becs a little reach around! He is full blown bent. He is a bit on the short side but u are all the same size when u lying down!
Beeno, Stormers season will be back on track this weekend. Hurricanes won't come close!

One has to ask what kind of rugby man Coetzee is.......why on earth would you play de Allende at 12 and move Jean to 13.......surely it would make more sense to leave the Bok incumbent 12 at 12 and play the younger, quicker de Allende at 13.......the player obviously quick enough to play wing.

I like de Allende but I dont see him as a thinking 12......I see him as a physical guy with plenty of power and a good step.......he does not look like a man with subtle hands or a creator........I reckon his best spot would be 13......in the Fruean, Kurandrani and Ranger mould

Saffex

Are you daft?  Every game De Allende played at center for either the Stormers or WP was in the no 12 position - he never ever played at 13.   Even when De Villiers was available - De Villiers played at 13 with De Allende at 12.

He is a more thinking player with better reading of the ga me than you give him credit for - so lets leave it at that.

I must admit it would be fun watching just how far de Allende could run with JJ draped all over him after a typical JJ  high tackle. De Jongh did 5 metres....I'm guessing de Allende with his size could do 15.

Saffex, he is doing well mate. Are you jealous?? Just hang in there. I am working an angle on Rooinek for you.
Regarding your second post. This reeks of a coach not in control. Its easy to be tempted into wholesale changes when a team is comprehensively outplayed but a coach in control will resist that temptation. Especially after a sides first game of the season. The real question is, why did Alistair believe in this team 7 days ago but all of a sudden has no confidence in that same team. Did he select them as a joke or did he believe he could "experiment" as it was only the Lions because every coach knows there is no easy game in this competition. The best compo in the world in terms of rugby. He should have stuck by his guys and got them playing for him, the jersey and their "brothers" next to them. Thats what creates a team.
Alistair has been scared out of his skin at what happened last weekend. He tries to prove to the world that he could turn the Stormers into an attacking machine and rid his defensive only tag. It took one crushing loss and now he has reverted to what has "worked" for him in the past couple years. He has picked a team to defend.
I believe he has included Jean at 13 for 2 reasons. First is that De Allende has not played 13 for the Stormers and Alistair is in no mood to take anymore chances and 2, he probably believes Jean's experience will help nullify the massive threat that Conrad Smith, Corey Jane and Julian Savea pose out wider. He may also try play a direct game with ball in hand and wants the bigger frame of De Allende carry the ball down Beauden Barrett's channel in hope that he will expose his defensive frailties once again. Possibly the more aggressive tackle style of De Allende can contain any dashes by Barrett.
Truth be told though, I dont think even Alistair knows why. I think he is just shit scared to lose again, at his "fortress", and he is hoping something different works. Coetzee is the worst thing ever to happen to Stormers rugby. He has retained a lot of players that have not produced the goods season in and season out and he has released way too many guys that no other team would ever wana be without.Stormers will never grow under Coetzee. He is not a visionary. He is a short sighted fool in an even shorter body.
I think the Stormers will win this weekend in a massive defensive effort but I cant see them making an impression this year. Sadly, Coetzee is getting worse..Not better!!

" Everything you do is irresistibleEverything you do is simply kissableWhy can't I be you ? Why can't I be you ? "
Ah, a bit more of " The Cure ".....you do have good taste, Misnomer Boy and I bet you croon away to that one whilst gazing at your pic of Saffex. Dontcha ?
Ahhhh....unrequited love. It's the saddest thing in the world....but the reason why we have some of the best songs/poetry/books and art. And then we have you....that sort of spoils things, doesn't it ?
Ok, who called me " smashing " ? That's a bit of a comedown from " ravishing "....I know, I actually got called that yesterday !! Oh, you men ! Even the most hideous women in the world ( I'm thinking of getting that Trademarked ) gets hit on, quite frequently lately...bit weird, is the world about to end ? ....You really all do just think with one part of your body, don't you ? Ah well, it was a kind thing to say to this hideous old hag, even if it isn't true. I'll have to take " smashing " instead.
But you couldn't be more wrong about Saffex. Just because he's spurned you, it doesn't make him homosexual. And I do wish you'd make your mind up...one minute he's the biggest sexual predator womankind has ever had to face, now he's the complete opposite. I would suggest, and this is me being very kind, you are a little confused. Have a sit down, put on some relaxing music...not your Saffex Lovesong Mixtape....and have a Camomile tea. It'll all seem much better after that.
And again, because you are too thick to get the message......I am not simply " sick ", I have had 2 strokes, of the Occipital Lobe, I have a hole in my Heart, I have RSD/CRPS a Neurological disease that has crippled me since I was 20 yrs old and leaves me in constant, chronic pain, I have severe Primary Raynaud's Disease which is a disease of the Circulatory System, I have a syndrome which is causing 24 hr a day, 7 days a week chronic migraine of all types that are affecting my vision, speech and all neurological functions, I have another ruptured Achilles Tendon, I have severe nerve damage to the Deep Peroneal Nerve, a permanent spasm in the Popliteal Artery, chronic back problems including a severely damaged Sciatic Nerve....oh I could go on and on and on. So what I am trying to get into your silly head is that, hideous old hag or not ( and, as I have said, I do not dispute that title and I never have ) the one thing in my life that I would have loved to have is someone to actually care and look after me. That would have been really nice. But every guy who has said that they are willing to do so has bailed out because things have been too tough, I understand that. But I could have done without it.So the last thing that I want, or need, in my life is a man turning up for sex.....do you get that now ? Do you understand ? Because if you don't, then I really do pity you.

And for the record, it seems you are the only person around here who actually has a photo of Saffex. I sure as hell don't !!

Oh boy Mike you are so dom.......what part of my post did you not get? Your 13 is usually quicker than your 12 and your 12 is certainly the more creative one......the one with the good rugby brain.......so logic dictates to me that given Jean is a great 12 and a very average 13, that you would retain Jean at 12......the more creative and intelligent rugby player of the 2.

de Allende has had a few stints on the wing and is not nearly as astute as Jean......so that tells me he is certainly quick enough for 13 and again logic dictates that he should be at 13 with Jean at 12......that is the way I would play it.

Moz as for wee de Jongh carrying JJ that is yet another load of rubbish........de Jongh has never come close to carrying JJ and never will. A half baked step that amounted to zero hardly counts as a carry.

In de Allende and de Jongh, we have two pretenders......in JJ we have a Bok recently rewarded with a Bok contract.......its chalk and cheese stuff

One wonders why de Jongh bothered to step JJ when he beat him down the right touchline and Ndungane had to rally round to stop the dangerous break. He was pretty much just as succesful running straight through the feeble JJ.

How many games did you see De Allende play on the wing?  I have seen him coming off the bench ONCE for WP and playing on the wing on Saturday,  He was mostly on the bench for the Storners last year - but the games he did play for them, he invariably played at 12 - not anywhere else.

Your argument is daft in two respects inasmuch as -

*  you underrate the speed of De Villiers; and

*  under-estimate the fact that Se Allende is a thinking player with ball sense.

However, you better hope that the Stormers keep him at 12 - at 13 he will definitely play the fool with Engelbrecht and that will not be g ood for the image of the latter.  On the other hand he is twice the center at 12 as Witless Hog will ever be - so there is a problem for the latter as well.

The half back combination for the Stormers is useless.
They need Peter Grant back ASAP who is a great tackler, good pole kicker and a decent carrier into traffic running flat at speed onto the advantage line. His passing game has been ok in some games too.
Catrikillis is a Checkers R9,99 special flyhalf- we have unlimited copies of them in SA, a poor mans Naas Botha- he wants to play and play a kicking game only and stand deep in the pocket. He is not up to standard.
Shreuder is crap and needs to move to the bench.

DomMike, catch a wake up......its not about how many times de Allende has played on the wing, its about the fact that the coaching staff are confident in his ability to play wing, which means he is quick enough for wing.......and if he is quick enough for wing then he is quick enough to play 13. That was my point you fool.

I dont see de Allende as a 12......he does not have the creativity and touch of a 12.......he looks better equipped for 13. Jean is a premier 12 and therefore logic dictates he plays at 12 and de Allende at 13.......both Coetzee and yourself are too stupid to pick up on this......shock, shock

Moz, keep dreaming......wee de Jongh could not carry my son let alone a pro player......all de Jongh did was step JJ and run slap bang into Ndungane........with JJ hauling him in and taking him out in the process......he never came close to beating him down any touchline.......de Jongh despite all the non rugby help has failed to make it........JJ on the otherhand has a contract.

I think that may just define the reality here

Really interesting debate, jean should probably be at 12, but the stormers recently released their stats as to which players were the fastest over 40 m where jean came second behind habana. So no that habana is gone Jean must be the fastest. What about Taute moving to 13? I still think that the stormers will struggle

Playing Taute at 13 would be a disaster.  Taute played for the Lions at full back for 2 years.  Because of injury problems in their center positions - he was moved to Venter for the Lions  at center (13)  for four matches.   That was followed by his selection at 13  for the Springboks - that can be regarded as a roaring success - now can it?

Taute is not a center since his Under 20 days and in fact wants to specialize as a full back.

There is nothing wrong with playing the center combination of  De Villiers and De Allende.   I think there is no way that De Villiers will not have a say who  of the two of them should be 12 and who should be the 13.

That is why I think that Saffex is daft in this case.   He insisted that De Villiers = who played many games on the wing himself - is too slow to p lay at 13 and that De Allende is clueless as to rugby nous.

Understandable if you take into account the duds Saffex support to play in certain positions and continue to support despite proven failings.

De Villiers was handicapped when he played at 13 for the Springboks outside the donkey kicking Morne and the crashballing Witless Hog,  There is not a 13 in the world that would show anything with those two inside of him.

Is Witless Hog a playmaker?

You missed out on 90% of the performances of De Allende if you did not see him as a playmaker.

As for Taute, he was the best Bok 13 that year......he was better than de Jongh and Jean at 13 and that is a FACT......so stop speaking utter shit about Taute at 13......a position he played at school and for the Baby Boks.
