I've never been a huge fan of Irish rugby and I generally support the Welsh, the English and the French ahead of the Irish but I felt for the Micks today. They have never beaten the all Blacks in their history and they were within a minute of getting a huge monkey off their backs today. Hard luck is all I can say.
Jonny Sexton could have sealed the game with a fairly simple penalty kick but he missed and I'm afraid he's going to have regrets about that kick for the rest of his life.
Well done New Zealand on a remarkable year.

@rooineck , it was an inspiration to see a team that is not so good have a great run at a team that is at the top of their game, it really goes to show that with the right attitude there isn't as big a gulf in the teams.
Well done to both teams.

@rooy,

thanks rooy, not surprised to see such a level headed comment from u which is par for the course, as for some of ur countrymen though, im afraid im going to have to take some to school and spank them.
fishing is going to be pretty good for the next 6-8 moths too, lolz, :oP

as for that jonthan sexton penalty, i thought that was the nail in the coffin and even when he missed, the gravity of the situation was still immense and i was losing hope faster then SA are losing players overseas.
the disgust that sexton showed when he missed it, who could have known just how big a part that would play in the end

ireland played the better rugby for longer parts of the game, dont really feel too bad for them cos im All Black hard, lolz
but full credit to ireland for really taking it to us, a real fitting way to end a spectacular season for the All Blacks.
