Has a senior Royal most likely Prince Phillip passed a way ?

Not according to Buckingham Palace. They're saying it's fake news.

Seems the speculation started when an emergency meeting was called at Buckingham Palace. No-one knows why the meeting was called but Buckingham Palace have confirmed that it is not because of a death or illness. The meeting is at 10am UK time so perhaps we'll know in about an hour's time. Maybe QEII is abdicating?

Very unlikely that Queen Elizebeth would abdicate.   She was always against the D utch system that allows for abdication and made a scathing remark about it after Queen Juliana phoned her and informed her of her intention to abdicate in 1981.
I do not think any monarch of the UK/England ever abdicated - they die in the job.  There is no precedent for that and it would have to be done with a special law allowing for it - like happened in Spain.  Parliament has been dissolved and the situation at present does not allow for such a law to be passed.
It may be that the Queen at 92 feels that her mental abilities is deteriorating - but even then the situation would be that a special law would have to be passed, which would only happen next month.   They can obviously appoint Prince Charles to act - while the legal situation is being regularized.
There is nothing on the issue on Sky News - so we will have to wait and see what will materialize.

Okay, so Prince Philip is stepping down from all public duties as from "the autumn" this year . . . that's all it was.

Fair enough . . . he is 95 after all.

Sorry - I forgot about that one.  I think it was not a voluntary one in that case.  He was determined to marry Mrs Simpson and was told he cannot do so as Head of the Church of England and he then decided to give up the throne.  Virtually forced into that situation with the consent of the Government .
However, a statement has been issued that Prince Philip will no longer take up public duties and will not accept any new invitations to do so in future.   At 95 he certainly is entitled to stop working.
Prince Charles is to take over the public duties of Prince Philip until August when Prince Philip will officially retire.

Haha, jeez the battle of Marathon is a little before my time.....the War of the Roses not so much. Marathon by the way is a very disappointing place for such a famous event.
