Well ... I think that the credit for our 2 wins should go to the responsible coach, namely Swys De Bruin. You can see his fingerprint all over the Bokke. If it were left to Stick we would have seen a different result ... even under Rassie. 

Rassie was at least smart enough to draw him in ... which is already an improvement on Coetzee and his single grey cell.

Nah ... just kidding!! It's a team affair. Rassie brings something else to the park. He inspires and pumps the boys up with self belief and they seem to be a happy bunch of quotas. He also has a vision and it looks as if  he's returning to the traditional Bok style of playing rugby.

He has these players believing that they can ... and that in itself is half the task done.  It's very different to the vibe under Coetzee.   

We must bear in mind that the Poms have been very poor and that our test will come in the RC.  

Rassie has been bold in his selections and I can't help but admire his balls. It's what I had hoped to see under Meyer. Win or lose, we need to see what we have. Rassie needs to sift the wheat from the chuff.

So far his quota ratio has dropped for the coming test to below 40%. I have hopes that it'll drop even further. Merit selections is always going to be the way forward.

Thanks Blikkies. All I want is the best players selected. I have sent him many an email telling him that ... and of course what I think of his quota captain ... and yes Blob ... I would love to see the Bokke take their rightful spot as the no 1 team on the planet.

They are all second rate and do not deserve to be in the Bok mix ... and that can easily be seen by their lack of contribution.

The Bokke won despite their inclusion.  Our victory was not because of them. We should be grateful that the Poms were so poor.

Thanks for correcting the  stream of BS attacks on Erasmus by the Mozart dolts CC.   It shows some real thinking on your part.   

I have no problem with selection of any players based on merit.   The rubbish Meyer and Coetzee selected are all gone.   Take for instance Paige, Kirchner, Morne Steyn, Alberts and a string of others in the WC squad in 2015.   Coetzee made it worse by selecting players like Lleyds, Rhule, Cassiem,, Mohoje and virtually every quota pick he made.

Erasmus gave them a chance and chucked them out of contention after the test in Washington.   We will not hear about them again.   There are still problem cases in the team - like Kolisi and Am - but I suspect the latter is also on the way out.   Same with Jantjies being ultimately replaced by Willemse - even in the RC already.   Fact is Jantjies will be given one more chance tomorrow - and if he fails like he did in all tests thus far - he is guaranteed to be out.  .    

Yes, I agree Mike ... it's make or break for Jantjies. He has the talent ... but not the nerve ... and that will be his undoing.

Besides ... Willemse is a very exciting prospect. He has superstar written all over him.

Het ek 'n voeltjie hoor fluit .... maybe just some day dreaming on my side, but I am almost convince Rassie said that he would like to 'make use of' Mitchel during the RC. Now that would be wonderful news.

Mitchell knows exactly what to expect from the AB's and even the Wallabies.   I would be delighted if that happens in the RC.

There is a problem  with what Mitchell inherited at the Bulls.   I can be summarized in two words - a destroyed team.   The damage done by Ludeke and Marais was immense, He had to start building a squad from scratch and even Ackerman at the Lions took time before the Lions really made an impact/

The Bulls have given some higher ranked teams in Super 15 a huge fright and there are elements of their game looking much better than it looked in the past decade.   I think Mitchell needs more time to get the Bulls on a way to recovery - but am optimistic that they will bea much better team next year.      

Mitch made it quite clear that we should not expect a complete turn around from the Bulls this season.

I wouldn't write him off just yet.

Don't worry about Beenio - he is a nutcase in any event.   I think the SA team today will be beaten and my Superbru forecast is a win by England by a small margin.   I am worried about the halfbacks (Jantjies in particular) and in a way by the centers with Kriel playing  as well.

Jantjies played for SA in 23 tests and of those the Springboks won only 10.   That to my mind is indicative of his role as backline pivot in tests.    There is not a single test where he really produced a top class performance and I do not think he will be average at best today,
