 well done Cheetahs - fearless running positive rugby at it's very best - showing all S15 teams the way!

Much appreciated Hakwa. Very competent ball in hand, I just wish they wouldn't leak so many points! I wonder what the Cheetahs would be with Jake at the helm? Wishful thinking I know, but with a tighter defence we would shoot up the rankings. Sad to see the Lions succumb to the lure of expansive rugby without respect for tacticality. A bit of balance makes the difference, particularly as the Saders were there for the taking. 

 Aristocrat, Jake at the helm would not be the Cheetahs as that cautious conservative approach would stiffle that free flowing rugby we know as the Cheetahs! Cheetahs are great as they are! They are beautiful to watch! What a come back!

I think a bit of pragmatism would do us good. What Jake has brought to the Brumbies is more structure and balance. There is a platform for there backs to run rampant. Being smashed in the scrum, leaking tries and relying on crazy all-out attack is not the basis for sustained success in my opinion. If this carries on I'll have a heart-attack in the next few weeks!

 mate I hope they make the finals playing that kind of rugby out of the SA conference - rugby will definitely be the winner!

 The Cheetahs are without doubt the most open running attacking rugby team that I have had the pleasure of watching.

During my ACF spell in Bloemfontein our Capt. was none other than Hannes Botha (1962 Bok flank from Free State) who drilled the running game into us time and time again.

I trust he is still around to see that he was correct and that his beloved Free State team is indeed running and playing the most attractive rugby of all the S15 teams.

Well done Cheetahs.

Cheetahs Hurricanes game will make a good training video for the Hurricanes on how to throw a game. Hurricanes first try from a big step from a prop seemed to lull them in to false sense of security and after a few more Hurricanes tries the boys seemed to go on holiday and forget it was an 80 minute game . Good on the Cheetahs anyway for beating them for the first time .

Yes the Cheetahs are playing beautiful rugby and I'm sure that Johan Goosen is getting looked at by Meyer. In my opinion, he is the most complete flyhalf in SA at the moment. He's just got it all...great decision maker, great distibutor, kicking and running all perfect. What a great talent to have, now I just hope we harness that skill and look after him.

One of my fav teams to watch, they have some slick players in that team.

The Cheetahs had a very good tour - they should have won three of the four away matches - not two.   The Ref wiped them out in the Brumby game - they should have won that one too.

I still think Goosen is better than Pink Steyn - to my mind we should have a choice between Lambie and him at flyhalf.   Maybe it would be better to play Lambie at full back and Goosen at flyhalf.   However, Aplon needs to be accommodated in the team - so he can come in on wing.

Back Line for the moment:-

   Lambie - Basson, Aplon and Habana (one on the bench) - Fourie and De Villiers - Goosen -  Hougaard

I have only two picks in the case of the forwards - they are Bekker and Etzebeth.   We have a multitude of top loosies and props - with Du Plessis and Liebenberg really being the pick of the Hookers.

 Agreed Mike, Goosen is far superior to the bog ordinary Morne - no contest at all. It will be a travisty if Morne is selected as Bok 10 ahead of Goosen or Jantjies

Jantjies has been exposed as painfully one-dimensional and physically not up to test rugby. Every test Bambie has ever played at 10 has been an abject failure of epic proportions!

to be fair Aristokrat, Jantjies injured his foot before the season started so he might not have got the jump that he wanted!

Back to the Cheetahs I have heard a standing joke in SA that when the Sharks plays the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein the Shark management dont have to organise housing for their team, they stay at their parents houses! as the Free State provide most of the players for the Sharks Franchise?

 If Jantjies is one dimensional, Morne must be dead.

Card catch a wake up, we are talking about Jantjies now, not a year ago. He was brilliant in the CC and started the S15 as our best 10 until that injury got in the way.

Its bye bye Morne and the sooner the better - Morne has 12 months of test rugby left in him before the real deals get selected. Those 12 months will materialise on the strength of conservative selections - Meyer will select the useless Morne at first but will soon learn that he is selling himself and the Boks down by ignoring the talents in Jantjies and Goosen

You should never be a betting man Dave. Jantjies is someone you are backing exclusively on the basis of his CC form. Not a very wise move Dave. Meyer knows better than to select a pap gimmick over proven substance. He will most likely never include Jantjies in any of his squads.

 What part of this  years S15 form in my post did you not get. I bet Jantjies makes Meyer's squad and I also bet you Morne does not last more than 12 months. Goosen or Jantjies will replace him wihin that time

Goosen? Now that's a different story, he is actually a good performer. Never Jantjies though. Tactically flawed and cannot control a game. Not test material, just like poor Bambie.

 Lambie is a better 10 than Morne and no single player can control a game, its a team sport!!!!

Lambie has never been better than Morne, never has he surpassed Morne for the Boks. In fact, it was quite the opposite.

Uhm guys, neither Morne nor Lambie are in the argument for top spot anymore, everyone can see the Gossen in outclassing them both. The stats don't lie, the amount of offloads, kicking metres gained running metres gained, gaps taken, tries scored, points on the board. None of them come close, so why are you having this argument, it is stale and outdated. Even though I think Morne will stil be bok flyhalf, however not for long.

Regarding the real topic. Damn that cheetahs backline is on fire!!!!! The moment the Cheetahs forwards show some discipline at the breakdown, notning can stop that backline.
