Ex Sport 24 - General De la Rey

Well unlike what many people believe I think the Boks played pretty good in the end to stave off an very motivated Scotish side. Yes the Scots might have been bordering on offside most of the time (Or were we lying very flat as well). They slowed down our ball the whole night and not all of it was legal but still give credit where it is due. They played bloody well.(Agree they really stepped it up from the previous week)

For HM he has gotten some answers.
One is Flo has no equal in SA and he should probably wrap that boy in cotton. The Scots bossed the brakedown and he was missed.(Plaese note snapster!)
The other is that Bismark is the best hooker in SA. He was immense in his little stint on the field stealing ball and bringing parity to breakdown. (Still to littl time to see just where Bissie is but it was an encouraging start)

But there were a lot more questions.
Where did Spies go again in a tight game?(AGREE)
Will the Pienaar and Steyn combo work. Morne did not look the same player with out Vermaak (AGREE)
.
Is JJ’s and Willie’s defense and positional play good enough for international rugby? (Well there are some concerns here but we will have to see as on balance they are worth while continuing with)
To name a few.

Samoa has been good in this competition and will test the Boks. But their first phase play and brakedown play should not be good enough for boks.

No comment until we see who Meyer picks.  This Bok pack lacks clout. Play:

Trevor, Strauss (Bissie needs more time off the bench?) Coenie

Etzebeth, Flip

Louw, Alberts and Labbers (7).

A nice 931 kg pack - lighter than the Samoans but not by too much.

Backs:

Van zyl, Morne (Its Loftus!), Jan, Jean, JJ. Habana, Willie.

We do not want small wings marking the 117 wing the Samoans have.  Man we miss JP!

Make no mistake a loss here would be insufferable. Imagine ou brycy gloating for weeks on end - we had a fortaste of that when the baby boks lost but with the wee abs getting thumped by the poms he went strangely quiet!

The fat samoans must be seen off. No powder puff pack please Meyer.

Listen to Beeno and all will be well of course!!!

Meyer would have none of the tem you propose. He is a dolt and leaving Spies out will never even enterd his mind. He is likely to fool around with Spies as captain. He is even going to be loonie enough to make Spies captain for Saturday. And Morne is showing signs of last years debacle an I would try out Lambie. - but the dolt is obviously likely to keep Steyn for the test.
