Tackles Made: 178 (3rd overall)
Turnovers Won: 13 (4th overall)

There you have it. Not only has he been winning turnovers, his ability to disrupt the opposition at the breakdown overall has been outstanding. I recall several games where he held up the opposition in the Cheetah's 22 and allowed the defence to reset and repel the attackers. His contributions are wholesome and consistent. How often has he been linking with the backs? Far too often to count. He is the best all-round loose forward in South Africa by a considerable distance.

It's interesting to note that the only turnover stat that Bismarck dominates is that of concession! And he is in 3rd place with 29, just behind Adam Thompson at 2 with 29 and Tiaan Liebenberg with 32!

Could anyone help out by pointing Card to the stats I posted re steals. Forget where I posted that.

Shows how good Bissie has been and how few steals brussouw has made.

Fact is brussouw has not been effective as a ball stealer and neither has pocock as those stats showed.

Heinrich you beaut.

When the tokoloshe goes to bed at night looks under his bed to check that Heinrich Brussouw isn't there.

Both Pocock and Brussouw are both standouts in their repsective (struggling) franchises.

Because of this, opposition teams are selected and strategies formed to nullify them (botes selected against the cheetahs). They don't have to worry about anyone else!

Its a lot harder to make steals when your pack is going backwards AND you're a marked man...

There are certain obvious choices for the Boks - Lambie at 15, JP on the wing, Frans at 12, Hougaard at 9, Beast at 1, Bismark at 2, Etzebeth at 4 and Brussouw at 6..........the rest come with competion for places

Agree 100% Saff. Beans and Aristo, one of you two is getting stats from a dodgy place....now which one is it?

Beeno has misread the turnovers stats. Turnovers are balls that have been lost, not won. Pilfers are balls that are won. My stats come from the same company that has been hired by the SANZAR test sides for statistical analysis. I rest my case.
