Can anyone tell me why my page refuses to update?

Even when I press F5 nothing happens, currently I have the page for 8 November showing?

Biltong, judging by your double post, I would say it has something to do with a slow internet connection. I often double post because my connection is uber unreliable.

 Hi biltongbek

It indeed sounds like a caching problem. I don't recall anyone else having the same issue, so it sounds localised (ie: an issue with your connection and / or caching).

Perhaps try to clear your cache and see if that helps.

Ed

Your internet browser's cache stores certain information (snapshots) of webpages you visit on your computer or mobile device so that they'll load more quickly upon future visits and while navigating through websites that use the same images on multiple pages so that you do not download the same image multiple times. Occasionally, however your cache can prevent you from seeing updated content, or cause functional problems when stored content conflicts with live content. You can fix many browser problems simply by clearing your cache .

OK, I have gone to my internet options and changed my setting to never look for version of stored pages, I am assuming that will prevent it building a memory up?

I also deleted all my temporary internet files, and I am typing this now on my laptop, will see if this works.

Thanks

Once your browser is open, click the gear icon at the top right to open theSettings menu. Then, select Safety and Delete Browsing History.

Normally the "automatic" setting works. As for the cache, IE calls it "Temporary Internet Files", Mozilla calls it cache and Chrome calls it "Browsing Data", but it's the same thing. Just delete it. Doesn't make a massive difference even when it is working properly.

I have cleared it, but still have to press F5 to update the page, is there not a setting that can do it automatically?

I cannot log on to this site using my i-phone any more. I can access the sit but when I  log on it allows me to enter my post but when I push the submit comment button it clears my log in & does not post to the site. Any ideas on how to fix this.
Cheers, JW

The I-phone worked until we switched to this site. This might be a coincidence though.

 Hi Just_Win
Are you trying to access the site via the mobi site, which is still in beta mode (being developed)?
If so, dont use the mobi site yet.

ED, I always try the standard way & it reacts as I described (won't allow me to post).
I only use the mobile site method as the second option. I know that the mobile access is not working properly yet but at least it allows me to post     (anonymously as it turns out )

 Hi Just_Win

Regarding the site issue, we will try to replicate it here as we don't seem to have incurred the same issue on our devices (Android and iOS).
The mobi site will bee launched very soon though.
Cheers
