The Stormers are looking to sign Argentina lock Manuel Carizza for next year's Super Rugby tournament.
According to Die Burger, the franchise is busy negotiating a deal with the 29-year-old.
The 2.02m, 118kg lock has played 36 Tests for Argentina and three so far in this year's Rugby Championship. He has also represented French club, Biarritz, on 113 occasions.
The Stormers are looking to bolster their second-row stocks following the departure of Andries Bekker to Japan.
