About two years ago I began saying that Ben Smith was intentionally kicking out like that. There's a lots of evidence for it.

What are the chances that his team mate now gets done for it?

They're being coached to do it.

12 week minimum for a kick to the face I believe but if he pleads guilty and with a clean record they usually halve the sentence so 6 weeks.

Once you factor in that it was a Kiwi team, probably coached, "he was only looking after his own well being while in  the air", Folou hates fags, Saffas are whingers and there's some tests next month. Yip 2 weeks sounds about right. .

You mean it's funny how I have been saying for some time now that Ben Smith and his Highlander teammates are going beyond lifting  knee and actually kicking out with studs up.

So you reckon that despite their being ample video footage evidence that somehow they are the only ones who jump like that, it's not intentional.

What would be really funny is if you were correct. 

That would mean that Smith and others in his team jump like nobody else in world rugby and all learnt to do this by chance and individually.

I didn't say filthy Kiwis. 

But it's pretty obvious that kicking out like that is a dirty, cheating tactic and the Landers are teaching it to their players.

....plum i don't think the Fijian had been coached to kick the Aussie in the head at all, ...the brief was kick South Africans in the head ....if he was a Kiwi he would'nt have made that simple mistake...

It will be very interesting to observe Ben "Bruce Lee" Smith under high balls now.

My guess is that the kicking won't stop but he'll try and make it look less obvious.

And they'll have to amend the laws because now everybody is going to start doing it.

The hearing was postponed till tomorrow - since the Highlanders sent Nabura back to NZ - since he is likely to get a lesser fine than in Australia.   So we will know by tomorrow whether it will be  four week ban - with two weeks off for previous good conduct - as is standard with NZ players.

Still no news on this issue.   Maye the Highlanders will call him back for the next game.  We 'll see.

The decision was a six week ban. It should have been a 12 week ban - but what is normal with NZ players, he got a 50% discount due to good conduct in he past.   If it happened to non-New Zealand players the ban would have been 12 weeks with no reduction.

The system still stinks to high heaven.

I'd say six weeks is a decent ban. 

But if a guy was lying on the floor and you intentionally kicked him in the face, then 12 weeks would seem appropriate. 

So, the deciding factor...

Flying kicks are tougher to land hence skill points are taken into consideration during sentencing.

And then, talking about who WOULD say what...Lets rather talk about who HAS said something.

I said that this flying kick technique was an illegal and dangerous tactic. I spotted it long before anyone else here.

The Kiwis said i was imagining things and nobody was trying to kick anybody in the face. I was making it up. I was a conspiracy nutter. The way Ben Smith jumps is totally normal. Instantly the name calling began. Along with suggestions that i lay off the "weed". Get out of my mom's basement etc etc

Now it has come to pass. Someone on his team has kicked a payer in the face. And he was lucky that he didn't do more damage than he did. I seen punches resulting in 30 stitches. This was studs to the face.

Ben Smith injured a welsh player in the WC, doing the same thing. Wales took it on the chin. 

On ample occasions we've seen players having to duck kicks directed at their faces...all from the same team and the same players. 

It's a cheating tactic. And its not about the result. It's about the action. 

Cheating tactics are normally followed by cries of "Filthy cheat."

The question you should be asking is...

At what point during this do Kiwis look at the evidence on front of them and own up, just on this one occasion, to the fact that one of their teams has been using a dangerous and cheating tactic intentionally for prolonged period of time. 

If it were a Saffa team brining our rugby into disrepute like this i'd be one of the first people here calling for firstly an end to it and secondly for an investigation into who is behind it. And i know for a fact that all the regular Saffa posters here would probably do the same. 

Say whatever you want about Beeno, CC and whoever else but they won't stand for cheating, regardless of whether it's their team doing it or not. What you'll probably find is they'll hold no punches in ripping the player, team or coach doing it to shreds. 

If Kiwis were more willing to discuss these things in a slightly less biased way then the name calling would be nowhere near as regular or severe. 

You are not the victim here.
