The above followed illegal/dangerous  play in the Sharks-Waratahs game on Saturday.  Horne will miss the game against the Stormers on Saturday - but Steyn will be allowed to play in the Lions game.

As I understand the situation a yellow card for Steyn in the match will immediately be converted to a red card so h e will have to be very careful in whatever he does on Saturday.

Overall it seems a fair ruling. Horne used a swinging arm with clear intent to hurt Steyn. The game was already turning spiteful and this contributed.

Steyn's offense was the lessor of the two so he now has been given a clear warning and it is on his record so any subsequent offenses will be punished more serverly taking into account his record. Fair enough I say.

Steyn has the weakest defense record of any center at present playing for SA franchises and his other capacities - except at kicking at goal - is of equal value.  His only asset is long range kicking at goal - for the rest he is a poor player at 12.

"Steyn has the weakest defense record of any center at present playing for SA franchises and his other capacities"

Sure, you do know how to call them after all. Goosen is an excellent defender as per you and Morné is the worst ever tackler in the universe in any sport who has cost the Boks all loses and even when we win with him we lose really. No wait...

Steyn is a coward from what I can see...

Don't see him doing that to Palu or Big Will - picks on Kurtley AFTER he passes the ball and not to mention pushing and shoving (the same thing Dennis got a card for) on McKibbin the Tah's half back...

I am sure Fatty Steyn will get his own back soon enough...

Wee bealie needs some of Cloudy's mean boils so he is not such a featherweight. Steyn spun him like a rag doll. I think even Steyn was surprised at the result.
Bealie had some sense knocked into him. Dont mess with Steyn. The warts left the game knowing best not to mess with the sharks and try intimidation tactics on them. All very satisfactory stuff. Trying to get physical with a saffa sides is not a wise move oaks!
