Did you have another look at Hougaard's performance on Saturday?   If you did - what d you think of his performance?    If did watch the gme again - and still think he was wicked.

No it transpires he got a knee injury and did not take part in the field sessions of the training camp.   I do not think he has even a remote chance to be in the Springbok squad to be announced on Saturday

No, its not on Youtube. Hougaard would be my starting 9 without a flinch, if he is fit. He has been good this year and one average game, if it was that (I have not seen it) would never deter me. As Cera said the Bulls pack was always on the back foot so Hougaard would have had a tough time, especially considering how poor Spies is at the base of the scrum when going backwards. There are some obvious choices for the Boks - Willie le Roux, Habana, Mvovo, JJ, Jean, Serfontein, Morne, Lambie, Hougaard, v/Zyl, Beast, Strauss, Coenie, Etzebeth, Steph du Toit, Brussouw, Kolisi, Labascagne, Coetzee, v/d Walt and Botha

With respect - I differ from you here,   Hougaard had comparatively little playing time due to injury.   In the games he actually played in he was -

*   good in the games against the Waratahs and the Highlanders; and

*   bog ordinary to  poor in all other games he played in.

No … fraid not!!

Hougat has not been good this year.

In fact he's been darn right awful

He wasn’t good last year either.

He's useless.

Go have your eyes checked, dimple butt. You definitely have an eye disorder that needs to be sorted.

There is nothing wrong with my eyes.  There is sonething defibnnitely wrong with your comments.  They are on ass-level as per normal.

Hougaard was not up to standard last year - and despite Meyer's love for players in the Blue Bulls franchise, was dropped from the scrummie position in the Springbok team because of deficiencies he showed repeatedly in games.

After the one piss-poor game of Hougaard  in Super 15 this year - there was some discussion on this Board as to the reason for the poor performance - one reason being given by Saffex was that the alleged  murder by Pistorius of his girlfriend may have been the reason.   Fact is that Hougaard previously had an affair with the victim and was still in contact with her at the time of her death.

The second piss poor game was on Saturday and if you rate that one as an accpetable performance you are way below intelligent level of subscribers on this site.

Well … firstly … if you bothered to read my post, dumbass, you may have noticed that the content thereof do not flatter Hougat as you seem to think it does.

Secondly … when have you EVER noticed me posting anything positive about the useless Hougat??

Huh??

Thirdly … the post wasn’t directed at you … so please don’t flatter yourself to think that I would respond to any of your usual drivel … got that??

I find you excessively boring.

Oh and another thing … save the lecture for someone who gives a shit about your opinion. I most certainly do not … ok “clevermike” ... ??

Perhaps you should go have your eyes tested after all, you friggin narcissistic prick.

Sorry about my nasty comments.  After the eyes tested issue was mentioned - I thought you were differin from my assessment and were being sarcastic.   Matter of fact I was thinking you were trying to insult me - and should not have said what I did.   Sincere apologies please.  I think we are on thes ame side in this case.

Hougaard has talent but he has just been plain shite over the last couple of seasons. He never seems to know what to do at frame the base of the ruck. Passes has behind his players several times and his fly half have been getting wobbly passes.

Crap - we all know your pedastal players always - according to you - had good games.   Hougaard was poor all year except for two games where he could be classified as above average.   The rest really was crap performances.  Saturday was definitely the worst of those.

Everybody but you on this site said the same as I did about Hougaard.   He just was bad and that is where you should remove your blinkers and stat to be realistic.

Hougaardt can't box kick. He even give clues away when he is going to box kick which makes it easy for the opposition to arrange themselves.

But I feel sorry for him as he is a running 9 and it is dufficult to attack from 9 if your back players are oncoming forwards.

Houggaard has been dog shit at scrumhalf the entire season! He is nowhere near our best option.Piet van Zyl, Vermaak, Pienaar,Reinach and Sarel are all vetter then him.He takes 5 seconds to pass the blady ball!He is still good enough to make the Bok squad but as a wing rather i rate.

Am going to watch two things tomorrow and those are -

*   The performance of Hougaard when playing against Van Zyl - with the Cheetahs loosies putting him under pressure; and

*   The stupidity one can easily expect from Meyer in his squad selections.

When watching the game tomorrow - please take off your blinkers for a change.   I have none - and be assured if Hougaard improves on his performances of earlier in Super 15,  I will give him credir for it.  I must admit that based on his previous performances I do not hold out much hope for improvement though.

Insofar as Meyer is concerned - he was on Boots and All and he made the customary remark - "Class is permanent - form is temporary".    Problem is - I do not really know whether he himself knows what class in players means.   If he thinks players like Kirchner and Kruger have class - then he must see a shrink  Am expecting him to select his normal 2012 team and hope for better - which will not be forthcoming - or might just be better beause the Steyn combination at 10 and 12 would not be there to destroy the backline.  One of those is bad - two together a disaster.

Word has it that Meyer will be selecting his squad of ... what 30 players??? ... after the Bulls/Cheetahs match tomorrow.

Usually this would excite me but somehow I'm feeling rather trepid this time round.

Hougaard had a good game today - there are still some question marks - but today his passing game was accepable - so (I accept your opnion in the relevant regard.

Hougie was acceptable today, however yet again Vermaak looked the better player. Van Zyl did not rise to the occassion. Does he get overawed?

He still can't box kick and frankly the Chewetah's are not a international team like NZ or Australia who is going to make us pay for not having a 9 that can open up space for the Kickbot 3000 to kick in.
