15 Ruan Combrinck, 14 JP Pietersen, 13 Lionel Mapoe, 12 Rohan Janse van Rensburg, 11 Bryan Habana, 10 Pat Lambie, 9 Rudy Paige, 8 Warren Whiteley, 7 Willem Alberts, 6 Uzair Cassiem/Nizaam Carr, 5 Pieter-Steph du Toit, 4 Eben Etzebeth, 3 Vincent Koch, 2 Adriaan Strauss (capt), 1 Tendai Mtawarira. Not the worst team one could choose. I would play JP at 12 and Willie at 15, with Combrink on the wing. In the pack our loosie situation is the worst ever....one thing Houwing has right, Mohoje is a passenger, despite decent tackle counts....these are process tackles. And what of Lambie at 10. Can he possibly be as bad as he was against the BaaBaas? Never a great player at 10, he seems to have no confidence since his injury. Not a great prescription for playing in the cauldron that is Twickenham.

 I would play the following team and think that Houwing is wrong about some positions and would not agree with him in some respects.   However, what do you mean by suggesting moving Pietersen to 12??????

I would be happy with Venter starting and De Allende on the bench.
I would never ever include Alberts - Mohoje has got decent tackle counts - Alberts tackle counts are downright indecent.    Maybe Alberts could be considered if they can get th concepts of ball protection and recovery into his skull.   However, that is highly unlikely since he is seriously pace-deficient and cannot get to breakdown points before the props.    
JP Pietersen is too slow to be a 13 or 14 and his work rate has deteriorated to near to nothing.    

Correction JP at 13. Your team is is fine Tokkie, I actually prefer your backline. In the pack Louw obviously is not available, and I just cant buy into Mohoje. There are lots of vulnerabilities....Koch is one no one is talking about but he could be a rich target.

I am not happy with the 7 position as well.   Although I don't like playing locks in the number 7 position maybe they should play Du Toit at 7 and not use any of the loosies in that position in the squad at present.
The props better than Koch are injured and I cannot see any solution to that problem at 3.     

 Nah ... it's a poor side. To many passengers in Alberts, Beast, Habana, JP, Mapoe, Carr and Strauss.
I guess that's why Arsehole is in favour of the side. The tired and the useless. 
Playing JP at 13 has failed at super rugby level ... so let's play him there at test level. Really smart?
I thought you wanted pace at 13. Isn't that your gripe with Venter ... ??? ... yet you select a carthorse with even less pace to cover the 13 channel. Yet another retreaded outside back taking up a position that belongs to a specialist. Playing him out of position.

Houwing isn't the only one to spot the deficient Mohoje ... we all have ... but replacing him with the slower, plodding Alberts is hilarious. I see it meets with your approval.
