How crap will Argentina be in the 4 nations if Scotland beat them?

Forget about that crap story.  The Pumas played mostly their players who played in the Vodacom  Cup series and very few of the team that meets their opponents in the RC in fact played against the Irish and the Scots.   
Even then they did quite well against the Irish - even though they lost.   But then we must remember tat the Irish beat the Welsh by a masisve margin in the 6 nations - so that means that the team the Argentinians put up in the RC would be much stronger than the one they used in the recent tests.
I think that if we continue with the team playing in the 2nd Welsh test we are going to have some problems and some upgrading would help.  The obvious players to be selected are De Villiers, Burger and Etzebeth - but I would include De Jager, Pollard and De Allende in the starting line-up. 
The Argentinians will have a physical tight 5 - but we can beat them - provided we do not go in with a physical-deficient Matfield.  As you said we need bonus points in the games against Argentina and - especially in the away games in 2012 and 2013  Morne Steyn was extremely poor.
So what is to be done to get 10 points.  Get De Allende in at 13, play De Villiers at 12, play Pollard at 10 and make sure that we have a decent scrummie - please not Hougaard - and play Burger at loosie and De Jager and Etzebeth as the lock combination.             

But Oom a week ago you were telling us Schalk was toast. I am a huge Schalk fan, but I still have my doubts that he is fully recovered....and your flip flop is based on performance against a very weak team. . The Scots were no test.
I'm also beginning to think the Serfonistas are approaching the sheer lunacy of the Watsonistas. Curiously some of the same people populate both groups. Can you imagine, no centre is going to outplay Jan....according to one worthy.
Really? Stepfontein was hardly apparent against Wales in the second test. Beware players who only show when the team is winning.

 The loss against the Scotts is not that much of an indication. Last year the Boks almost lost against them, but were  competitive against NZ in the RC. Argies won't be pushovers come R C.

Did I mention Serfontein at all?   I think that the issue here is that we ned a stronger team and the team that played the Welsh in the econd test would have serious trouble against stronger opposition.  
I am not really convinced that Serfontein should start at 13 - I always think h should be on the bench.  Unlike you I have serious reservations about Pietersen at 13 as well.   His defense at 13 is seriously deficient - but then you look at defense rarely and make up stories on that issue = for instance Morne Steyn is a good defender and Serfontein a poor one - both actually contradicted by factual information.   
Morne Steyn's performance in the 2nd Welsh test was a joke in bad taste - similar to his performances in the away test against the Pum,as and the AB's last year.   I would rather see a functional and efficient flyhalf than Steyn in the set up.    The real Steyn is not a functional flyhalf because he lacks completely in reading the game and plays robotoc rugby - as Sharkbok described in a recent posting.
I am not so sure about Burger - but anybody playing reasonable rugby is better than Alberts.   We need a functioning loosie - not a plank at 7.   For the rest - even though you fail to accept it - Matfield is not a player that can be relied upon at lock in tight 5 battles.   He is very poor in carrying balls in traffic and his contribution in components other than line outs is a joke.  That is why he rarely if ever is involved in Maul situations and why we are not showing the drive we should in rolling mauls - virtually non-existent against the Welsh in particular.   
I would like to see limited - but very important changes to the team to meet the Argentinians, but more importantly against the Wallabies and the All Blacks - otherwise we are going to be on the receiiving end of something very distasteful.                

 Relying on the scoreline in one match is idiotic to say the least.

Last year we beat Argentina by 60 points in one match and only one in the next.

This year we beat Wales with ease in the one test and by one point in the next.

The issue here is who buggered up in the 2nd Welsh test?  Not the idiotic blablabla.  You cannot comment on rugby issues so joinm the idiotic Vulls Supporters Club - uyour lack of rugby issues will eb exposed there.
By the way - you mentioned yesterday that Matfield was nvolved in 32 ball recovries and I asked you for the link where that could be looked at.  Obviously because it was BULLSHIT in capital letters it was not forthcoming.   During the whole game - which I watched again lasty night - Matfield was involved in four maul situations - in one he was penalized coming from the side and in three he produced nothing that could be counted as ball recoveries by him.   
The moment anybody says anything about Morne Steyn and Matfield your idiocy shines through.   In the second Welsh test Morne Steyn proved that the Stade Francais coach is correct - he was piss poor.    Matfield tried to carry the ball once in traffic in that game - went straight down and the result was a converted penalty.    That was his total ball carries in that game - and Matfield proved again that he is physically not strong enough.   When De Jager carries balls it takes three tacklers to bring him down and he still goes forward - if Matfield carries balls - the scrummie brings him down with ease and he goes striaght down.  Tossed aside in maul situations - he contributes zero - so keep up with your idiocy - it really is enjoyable to see how thick you can become  One would think that every time you reach the lowest point imaginable - your ne xt contribution is even lower.   .      

Learnt a long time ago that scores don't tell you much...the longer you're been watching this game the more baffling and misleading scores are.

Mike is quite right and yes Saffex the Pumas were a B side but rugby continues to throw strange scores...in 1995 WC...Boks only beat minnow Romania and Canada without too much room and went on to win their greatest grand slam against arguably the best AB side ever. France lost twice to the Pumas in 2007 WC and defeated a very good NZ side. In 2011 France lost to Tonga but only unstuck to AB's in NZ WC final by one point.

And so you can on and on...don't be deceived Argentina will give a good account of themselves.
