Quinn Roux is a beast. What more could you ask for from a young lock. This guy would have been the perfect Stormers partner for Etzebeth now that Bekker is off. The 22 is a monster at 1.98m and 125kg.

The lad likes to go on the charge and certainly uses his bulk to good effect. Coetzee is a complete idiot for letting this lad go. How on earth could you play de Kock Steenkamp ahead of this lad all of last S15. One can see why Leinster have extended his contract despite him hardly playing for them as a result of an injury.

Dekock Steemkamp is more physically imposing because Quinn Roux is usually injured

He's very good, it wouldn't surprise me if he end up representing Ireland at some point. They asked him the question during his contract extension whether representing Ireland was on his agenda. And his answer was somewhat diplomatic, meaning he did not rule playing for Ireland out. So, he could end up playing against his country of birth, like many we've seen

Does an know what happened to a Du Plessis (I think) guy who played centre for WP last year and the year befor during the CC. If im not mistaken he also played some rugby league?

Man he could've been a real asset for the Stormers now.

Beeno?

The whole WP situation is very depressing. The managment is useless dispite having the best fan base in South Africa.

How we could have let the players go that we have is really problematic. Quin  Roux going was crazy. Letting Cat go was crazy. Then we also let JJ go, Francois Louw, Kostner, Whitehead etc etc

I also heard Du Plessis was out of the picture. Dont know details. He was very important to our future. Howard and van der Heever are ignored - get no real look in - what about Sweil also.

Micro backs and now micro forwards. Allistair is proving to be a clown and the joke is on us. Two top coaches walk and we get Allistair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a failed quota Bok backline coach.

If it ment throwing out the rubbish governing WP and getting some pros in then I would happily lose a playoff to the Lions!!! Anyhing to put WP on a professional footing.  The financial raping of the professional arm has to stop.

Fire all these  complete twits yesterday.

Our main business is exporting talent. I cant recall now the names but apparently the Cheetahs also have a number of players from here. Van Zyl may have been one of them. Loosing young star talent forfeits your future. Having coaches who are clueless does the same.

Checked JP du Plessis's twitter postings, he had knee op at the end of March, hopes to be back for the CC, so is not lost to WP/Stormers

It is one thing if the overseas clubs lap up our bottom feeder type players, but when they are getting hold of our bright young future stars it is a problem! Coetzee has been exposed as a relatively large knob. Both as a coach and as a people manager. The Stormers are especially guilty of letting players slip out of their grasp, and not ony to the rich clubs over seas, but to other South African franchises as well. Coetzee looks like a nice enough fellow, but his competence really must be questioned.

As a coach, you have to be a complete and utter fool to rate a player like de Kock Steenkamp ahead of Quinn Roux and in so doing, forcing the young impressive player to seek greener pastures.

The world can see what a massive mistake it was, imagine how Quinn Roux, himself was feeling at the time. He must have been so pissed off at being overlooked for a player like Steenkamp and having to waste his time playing VC rugby.

Coetzee is doing the same to a player like Pat Howard, how long till we hear he is pissing off up North. Coetzee is a sad excuse for a coach and given his record this year, he should go. We can't afford this mans mismanagement costing us another handful of players.
