How good are the Bools

Outstanding if you listen to their supporters or reporters like Keo. This is all based on their hammering of the Cheetahs. But these groupies forget, the Bools are great front runners. Give them physical dominance, and like the school yard bully, they will pile on.....and never say enough. Other teams might lose a little interest and take the foot off the gas,  not the Bools.

But they also don't show great fight when they are down, especially away from home. They need the baying of the crowd to endorse all those Booly Boy big hits.

So we probably shouldn't measure them just yet. But it is a fact that the Bools and the Stormers have already had one common opponent, the Sharks. So could this be the measuring rod we seek? Maybe, because like the Stormers, the Bools struggled to subdue the Sharks. The Bools prevailed by 5 and were hanging on for dear life....and the Stormers had to come back to win by only 3.

I thought the Stormers played about as badly as they could in that win.....the Bools were closer to their best, but not really there. That would suggest perhaps more Stormers upside. Idle speculation I agree.....but to suggest as the Pamplona faithful have done, that this is a great Bools side in the making is a bit of a joke.

Agreed, they are far from a great side, the real test is when they play the Crusaders who for starters will match them physically. We've seen this all before when the Crusaders bullied and then shredded them on their own home turf. But then what does it say of the physicallity of the Stormers and the Sharks?

Always remember Moz to a bulle fan all their players are either legends or legends in the making,

It is our pleasant task to enlighten them and help them out of this deeply delusional state.

The Cheetahs without Coenie and Juan were never going to match up to the bulle pack. Bulle don't asssess these things. They are already dusting off the mantlepiece for this years Super 15 trophy!!!

However the bulle struggle away from altitude and Loftus. To underscore this they will be wearing pink! Bwahahahahhahahahahaha ou windpomp already has bought his pink jersey.

My only regret is that when we next face them we will not have our power pack in place. That I would love  to see them handle that lot..

Actually, upon review, the Bulls were much better against the Sharks than anyone realises! Their backline did far more; they just lacked some composure and sharpness. They displayed a very intelligent and accurate game in both hit-outs so far. I noted their accuracy against the Cheetahs. The Cheetahs were not a bad side on the day, just comprehensively contained! It was a very good test of the Bulls credentials as they are honestly the best SA side by a considerable margin. They do everything very well. Their defence is highly organized, they work in very cohesive units that accuractely manage the tackle point and are very good on the ground. Their backs and support play are very sharp. Their kicking game is lethal. Not only this but the new players are adding alot of energy and enthusiasm, a completely new lease of life and stepping up to the plate. The only area of concern is the scrum. Greyling is a very big concern here. His general play is very good, but a Steenkamp he is not.

Nou ja. There we have it. The three manne who have all at some stage complained about the Stormers/WP/Cape being bashed at every opportunity.

Bashing......nah....just adding a bit of realism.

Started well...hope they can maintain this momentum. Some guy mentioned the Bulls are like the Hun...either at your feet or at your throat...well I do not agree...there might be some truth in this on occasions but never when it really counts...but they do have a chink in their armour...the Sharks have been trying to find it without much success over the years...the NZ sides occassionally find the weak spot (even the Highlanders 2/3 years ago in NZ if my memory serves me well.

 The Bulls like the Stormers and Sharks, have many new faces on board which is good for SA rugby - there is plenty of good young talent coming through......the signs are good with the displays so far, but its too early to make a call on how good these sides are.......on paper they look really good for the most part. The Bulls have all positions covered and depth, the Stormers are covered in the forwards and need to start investing in their young centres they have in the area - they are a bit thin out wide. The Sharks like the Stormers, need to start investing in their young centres - they need to take the Bulls lead in the department playing Venter and Sadie at centre

You are quite right Chabal! Last year the Highlanders defeated the Bulls 35-28 on home soil. In 2007 they lost a close game 13-22 to the Bulls and in 2009 defeated the Bulls 36-12 in their Championship winning year. They have not been without some great results over the years.

Cheer up windpomp there are bulle here and the banter is pretty lighthearted and decent unlike the bitter, vitriolic  garbage we went through with the rotten apples badly messing things up on SS. It only takes a few rotten apples etc

Unfortunately you lot wanted the few rotten apples.  They should simply have been ticked off not supported!! Anyhow no use crying over spilt milk. The unfortunate happened and I cant now see how it can be undone. Great pity but there you are.

Denny its best for all to let it all go and get on with it. Hold no grudges etc. Frees the spirit and keeps one okay inside.
