Yes he has very good hands and has to be watched by the opposition.Reminds me of Johnny Wilkinson. BMT appears to be in placeAmazing how these players emerge from nowhere.

Doesn't surprise me, with the amount of rugby on TV these days it's inevitable that the standard will increase. In time we'll have quite a few great flyhalves hopefully not at the expense of great scrummies.

@beeno1 Fred has not just emerged from nowhere , he has been around for a few years already working his waythrough the Natal junior ranks. This is not just a coincidence, the youngster has been groomed to be a 10, ju st like the two big names followin him through.

Mike that try showed something for sure. Lions very unlucky to lose. I would like to see Brits starting at 7 - he is a real goer

Mike , both will have time Fred sti has alot to learn and isnt the dead eye dick with his penalties as we would like. Dont all get to heated up, he is just a boy.

I think Lambie must move back to 15. His best performances seem to be when he does not wear the number 10 shirt.
The Sharks 2 best backline performances in SuperXV were when Lambie was not at 10 this year.
Not 100% sure Lambie was the cause, because the Sharks were just plain crap for most of the season, even before the injury toll became ridiculous.

Reinach and Zeilinga will make a heck of a half back pair. Lambie may even be forced to 15.Wonder what is going to happen re Frans Steyn. If he comes back fit he could go to inside center.Sharks could be very good next year. Injuries surely cant mess the Sharks and Stormers again like they did this year.

@beeno1 , nothing sdden about it, he played U19 CC , U21 CC . Its called progression, do you not follow the juniors ?

Zeilinga represented the Natal Sharks at Under-13, Under-16, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 levels between 2005 and 2012.
In 2011, he made his first class debut for them in the Vodacom Cup competition in the season-opening game against the Blue Bulls. He missed a conversion two minutes after coming on, but did convert one ten minutes later to help his team to a 30–19 victory.He made three more substitute appearances during 2011 and was promoted to first choice fly-half for the Sharks during the 2012 Vodacom Cup competition, making a further seven starts. He also finished as top scorer in the 2012 Under-21 Currie Cup, scoring 154 points in his ten appearances.
He also took over the kicking duties during the 2013 Vodacom Cup competition, where he once again scored in excess of 100 points in the season.
He has BOK written all over him.

@Buzz, When you like rugga you like the good players no matter where they are from. When a young player catches my eye I try to keep up with his play. A school boy who catches the eye when he plays at flyhalf needs to be followed. A flyhalf is the beginning and the end of a team. A good flyhalf will make correct decisions and keep his team on the front foot thereby saving energy and applying pressure.
Sometimes one has lots of potential but just cannot make the step-up from kiddies rugga to the big stuff. A good example is Pollard who was exceptional as a school boy but is now struggling to find form.
Another young one that may still mature well is Robert du Preez' kid.
