IRB does not allow that. Both teams must remain behind their 10 yard lines. I think that is what is mostly behind some peoples resentment of the Haka. Teams are prescribed by the IRB to respect it and how to behave. They should just let it be and leave it up to the discretion of the teams facing the AB's how they deal with it. It is almost as absurd as the banning of bagpipes at the previous RWC.

Personally I think the opposing team should just gather in a cricle and discuss the game and simply ignore the weird going ons on the other side of the field. It's no use focusing on guys rolling their eyes and sticking out their tongues, slitting throats and grunting like neaderthals etc. Any idea this must be respected is loonacy! It has to be seen as comedy and for that reason I always have a good laugh at the hahahahaka.Watch beau and carol jane getting all fierce is priceless! Nevertheless the wee abs imaging opposing sides find it itimidating!!! More kbbs delusions
22 Oct 2014, 10:18#9
Anyone know who won that game?
22 Oct 2014, 10:24#10
All Blacks won it on a knockout in the third!!
22 Oct 2014, 10:43#12
Yes beandork we know of your tiresome attitude to other peoples culture ,one wonders how you would enjoy someone putting doen your national anthem or what ever cultural thing you hold dear ya pratt .{ ask the Aussies and others how that turning your back idiocy works out ] The IRB should just keep their nose out of the Haka .

Sorry warped DUD but if your culture is sticking out your tongue, rolling your eyes like a lunatic and then slitting throats it leaves a lot to be desired. But hey it's great entertainment so dont get down on poor Beeno!
Beeno fully in support of the hahahahahaka! It' s warped DUD's culture he says!

No matter the time of day or night, I for one turn up the volume full blast, till my window panes move like water in their frames, when the Haka is being performed.
I love it.
It is at times funny th ough when you have a weedy All Black like Carter trying to look fearsome. Doesn't suit him.
Makes me think of ol Denny trying to be tough on this site.
A weed if ever there was one.

I enjoy the Haka, so Wardad I have no issue with that. However, just because something is ones culture does not automatically make it acceptable. Take for example our bloody joke of a president! jacob zuma (no capital letters in his name because he deserves zero respect) who has six or seven wives, the exact number is not important, it just illustrates how backward "culture" can be. South Africa's whole constitution is based on equal rights etc, but here we have this shart for brains proving that woman are not considered equal in his "culture". Of Course a wealthy powerful woman is not allowed multiple husbands in his "culture". This is just one example of cultures around the world proving just what utter stupidity culture can be.
So culture/tradition is fine under certain circumstances, but the fact that something is tradition or culture has zero bearing on it being justifiable. If culture alone is an acceptable concept, then I am going to get myself a club, so that I can pound the next foxy blond I see over the head and claim her as my wife.

Cultures are often very destructive and need changing. Those caught up in them too often blind to the problems.
But the hahahahahaka is not such a problem. I am sure it is well suited and appropriate for all kbbs!
22 Oct 2014, 12:21#18
Must agree.
I'm not really one for traditions either.
Some of them are darn right stupid.
Some tribes in this country send their young boys out into the bush for a few weeks during winter ... to be circ- umcised. It is their tradition to hack away at these youngsters with a sharp stone or animal bone ... and many of them die because of it.
All in the name of tradition.

Beeno's idea of facing the haka is lying down & faking an injury. Where have we seen that before?
Those little red bo oties are eye catching Beeno, lol I am sure some posters consider them to be manly

I see some oaks and an off form Cloudy are having a go at the highly esteemed Beeno whilst I was busy with better things!
Perhaps I was wrong about the ripples and they can be seen after all - if you have a high q uality magnifying glass!
If I faced the hahahhahahahakwea I could well fall to the ground in laughter kbbs. My friend JW is having an identity crises- doesnt know if he is daffy or Noddy. Should we have a vote?
I hope thats cleared up matters for the confused oaks.
As for Biltong Bek I can only wonder at a prop being 92 kg. Any BB I look forard t oyour comments on the Lios props after the WP match. That one against the hapless Lions!
