Apparently all the players said that the conditions were very humid and it made the ball really slippery, and that playing in humid conditions is worse than playing in wet weather for handling.
Hopefully this is true as the backline passing and catching was terribale yesterday.

Any excuse for their disgraceful handling will do - they really played like mugs who did not know how to catch balls - leave alone effective backline play. If the conditions were bad - it was bad for both sides - so I am not going to buy in on that one. Why could playera like De Allende and Jordaan do better than Steyn - for instance?
