I didn't watch the match, did you?

I said last week, the only way to force action in SA rugby was to stop the money. I didn't, and still have not watched the game. Based on the result, and what has been written here, I see the predictions of an error riddled Boks in a one sided affair were accurate.
I sincerely hope that the stadiums are empty for the home games in SA, because even though it won't change anything just yet with our politically infected rugby administration, it might sow the seeds that grow eventually into some sort of meaningful change. However, based on what I have seen here, everybody watched the game anyway, and will do the same when the Boks continue the fiasco in a couple of weeks time. I am no martyr or anything, I am just p!ssed off and can't bear to see the once proud symbol being decimated as much by the supporters as by the rugby administrators, politicians and players.

A total boycott of the Boks home games would send a strong message. But its not going to happen just yet. However I recall how when the Bulls were at the bottom of the table Loftus was virtually empty. Same as the Lions at Ellis Park.
Crowds won't always flock to see the Boks if they are a mess as a team controlled by politicians. 

Rooi, I don't need to validate myself to you, but for the sake of not being a cop out, I'll tell you what I did. I went to an airshow at AFB Waterkloof....I did shop around a little for a biltong stand. Should I send you time stamped pics to prove it? Had I not done so, I would have found something else to do. Weirdly, there are things to do on a Saturday other than watch rugby and chat on a forum....you should look into it! 
Look, we are all basically on the same page as far as the political BS in concerned. I don't know of a better way to make a statement to the powers that be than to stop supporting them. If you have a better suggestion, lets hear it! Failing that, take out your old age frustrations on someone else.

Hahaha, funny you mention it, I just got off the phone with one of the most dense individuals I have ever encountered! The discussion, if you can call it that, did put me in a bit of a foul mood! Logically I know I should not let such an insignificant idiot, that is already drowning in the shallow end of the gene pool, get to me, but I live in hope that one day I will get through the thick cranium of one such individual. I swear this cretin had the intellectual capacity of an amoeba!

I must confess ... I did watch the match. I needed desperately to see them thrashed ... and they were. I'll probably be in front of the TV again on their home leg.
