the fat lady singing and I don't see the ship sinking. I'm no rat and I won't be jumping. Well done Eddie Jones and Japan. I've always believed Jones to be an exceptionally good coach and have sung his praises many, many times so I'm pleased that he's going to coach the Stormers next year. I'm sticking with the Boks and I'm expecting a better defensive effort in their next game. Hopefully we've seen the last of Kirstner, Mjovo, Kolisi and Coenie.

Spot on Denny. This was a black swan moment. The Boks never believed they were in trouble until the last 10 minutes. But they were. Eddie has always been a brilliant thinker. If we had kept Jake and Eddie after WC07 we could be miles ahead...but of course the same crew who are gloating today, thought Eddie was useless...that includes RooiAAS and Dave.
We can't afford the group you mention...especially Coenie. But Steph is no flank, Bismarck was unimpressive and Kriel looks vulnerable defensively...it was his missed tackle, one on one, that gave Japan the game. He puts the Japanese player on the deck 15 metres out and we likely win the game.
Nobody mentions this because it doesn't fit the narrative....that the vets lost the game. They weren't great, but the game was lost by Coenie and Kriel, and I would give Kriel another chance because Allende is no better defensively.
Lambie likewise was a momentum killer at 10. He never did one meaningful thing.
HM has to bring back Willie and Pollard as a starter. We also need Vermeulen. And this team has to decide to get into combat. Was there one really potent Bok tackle all game. They all seemed imbued with misplaced WC bonhomie.

What did Kirchner do wrong? Our problems were from 9-10-12 and the two flanks. The penalties from Bismarck were costly. The back three were our most productive backs. And Schalk, with Victor our better forwards. Kriel looked vulnerable because 10 and 12 left him a sitting duck. I'm not exonerating him completely, but Japan played the Aussie way: fix 10 and 12 and leave 13 isolated and overwhelmed with decisions. Jean was too slow, this not being a good matchup for him at all. And then there is the talentless clump of cells just inside him. He put the centres under pressure on both attack and defence. Pienaar had such a good RC but looked his old self. Bismarck was a shadow of the player that finally played up to his reputation throughout the rest of the year, but our props look jaded. The loose trio was the real killer though. Schalk played manfully but was fighting on his own. If Lambie gets away from this scot free I will lose the minute measure of respect I have left for SA. He sets the depth for the backs and protects the seams. Lambie has never done his job to even a half arsed standard, not at any point in his mediocre senior career.

Well what did Kirchner do right? To me he just fed the ball back to Japan with aimless up and unders. Kriel was okay, but for the last movement where he flat missed a one on one tackle....nobody else contributed. Mvovo looked slow and ponderous in space.
I agree on the loose trio and of course Lambie who was AWOL the moment things got challenging.

Lets, face facts = one cannot but wonder what Mozart thinks - but it is obvious his got his head up his ass when he thinks about rugby.  Instead of his admitting that he knows nothing about rugby - he keeps on about two younger players in the team yesterday.
That lot of vets has one thing in common - they vanish from sight after 30 minutes and their contribution after 30 minutes on the whole deteriorates to zero level.   He does not realize the following:-
*   That the idiocy of selecting the useless Kirchner was part and parcel of the nightmare created by Meyer.   Start with a player that was never any good and then expect miracles.
*   There was one common element in the backline in the case of both the recent disasters against Argentina and Japan - namely De Villiers.  In both cases he destroyed the functioning of the backline.
*   That Pienaar was useless and slow
*   That Bismarck's main contribution to the team yesterday was giving away of 4 penalties
*    That Matfield played for 40 minutes and  then vanished from sight.   He criticize Du Toit - but does not realize that Matfield's zero contribution to Tight 5 play forced Du Toit to play as a Tight 5 p[layer and nto as a loosie.
*    That the sh!it was caused by Meyer's game plan.  using Burger as battering ram and kicking away possession endlessly.  Burger is NOT a player you can use for that purpose - his ball handling yesterday was deplorable.
*    That on the whole the Vets went dead in performance.
He should in fact run away in shame and not pester thinking people with his sh!t contributions.

Mvovo  had a chance to attack the outside but went in. One of the reasons I would play Damian on the wing, his entire game is based on taking the defender on the outside. Having that confidence on the wing is valuable, and he will enjoy the space. Kirchner was not the heart of our troubles. When your centres and half backs are malfunctioning, what do you have left? Kirchner is not a playmaker like Willie, Willie could even play 10 such is his mentality for space creation. But Kirchner joins the line well and is very solid in all other aspects. That he cannot do the cover job Willie does for our 12s should not be a detraction against him. But as I say, the back three are not going to do much when 10-12-13 are struggling.

I like the idea of Allende on he wing Fox. In fact that's the selection I made pretty much all along. You wonder how Tokkie feels after telling us how terrible Japanese rugby is...but suddenly he has a bad case of amnesia.

This bloody dimwit has the audacity to comment about what I wrote about Japanese rugby.   He does not realize that what Meyer selected as a team for the game yesterday and his seriously defective game plan represented an insult to the country and that any second-level team would have beaten that concoction with ease.
The "barking dogs" were right - the Mozart idiocy also proven.

I predicted a win by 12 points - but humbly apologize for not knowing to what low Meyer's selections have caused our team to be in.   I expected that we may lose against Scotland and Samoa - but had reservations about a potential loss against the USA.
After yesterday and unless something serious is done in team selection - I confidently predict a loss against both Samoa and Scotland - with a probable loss against the USA as well.

So is this forum symptomatic of divisions within SA Rugby ? Is this the nadir of saffa rugby or has it not yet bottomed out ?I dont want to see our greatest foe emasculated in this fashion beset by divisive forces from within and without .Emasculation should come at the point of the ABs sword as it were !

So you now accept that Lambie and Du Toit-Pom are not test quality players? There might be hope for Mika yet!

If there is one thing that worries me about the Boks, it's their defens e.....they need to up the intensity, I didn't enjoy the Japs getting over the gain line. Without a better defense the Boks can forget about winning the WC.

Lambie showed promise in one CC final. He went onto the EOYT that same year and nearly lost us every test when he came off the bench. 2011 he had a very poor Super rugby campaign punctuated by a Tri Nation campaign so catastrophic that even Peter dropped him! 2012 we saw him yet more poor for the Sharks and was a bottle neck on the EOYT. Lambie deteriorated even more in 2013 being outplayed by a has been Butch who got the Sharks back on track as Plum desperately searched for some direction at 10. Lambie was yet again poor on the EOYT that year. 2014, looked less damaging under Jake initially but was exposed after his return from injury and cost the Sharks in the playoffs alobg with Jordaan. Lambie later went on to cost us the away Aussie test and scored and open run to the try line in another test and was labelled the best Saffer player in the media! Scored a penalty without ever looking at the posts after a 12 yard drop miss in front of the posta earlier and was said to have defeated NZ all on his own. That despite his only other brief contribution being a slipped tackle out wide that allowed NZ to almost break out and win the game in the closing seconds! He went on to have his worst EOYT. 2015 another poor Super rugby campaign and another poor showing in a game where he was outclassed by a man that noone has ever heard of before. How much longer can this go on? Lambie has been thrust down our throats for so long I cannot stand the sight of him anymore. One of those players that has other wanting to choke themselves on his phallus. The Tim Tebow of rugby.

Well Meyer has some easy decisions to make with regard to selections, it's a no-brainer who he should drop.

What pains me is that it was all too obvious. It's not rocket science, I'm not a mage who can gaze into the future. Just call a spade a spade and be done with it. Lambie was never any good, this isn't the flawed talent of Quade and the like. It's the least talented of our crop of 10s that has no heart and no presence. Rugby just isn't what he is good at. But it has taken (maybe) six years to get there. I could understand playing Pienaar with Du Preez injured, but now that he is not, no excuse. Mvovo, Steph, Louw, the list goes on.

 Desert Disaster/Fool
So now you blame Du Toit and Lambie for the loss.  let me tell you who were primarily responsible for the loss:-
*    The idiotic Meyer with his squad selection and his kick-and-chase game and his crash ball fixation - a deficient strategy Jones used to maximum benefit.  Hand over possession is the main thing Meyer acdvocates.
*    The clueless brain dead Kirchner*    The wing disaster called Mvovo*    The hapless under-performing De Villiers*    The slow and hopelessly inadequate Pienaar*    The multiple possession-losing Burger*    The weak and useless in Tight 5 play Matfield*    The penalty-providing Bismarck
Those are the worst cases.   Add to those the under-performance of Jannie du Plessis and Beast and "jy het diE bron wan die vergifting an sy worteL beet:"

Moz stop fucking lying man....how on earth could you conclude that I said Eddie was useless when I have gone on record saying that it was Eddie who saved useless Jakes arse in 2007....huh???
Stop speaking utter shit...much like blaming Coenie and Kriel for the loss....what an ignorant crock of shit you speak.
We were playing Japan old man....the game should never have been in the balance - we should have been 50 points clear ....Wake the fuck up.
We lost because we had a bunch of old farts on the field who could not match the pace of the Japs.
Blaming two players who happen to be young is fucking pathetic and makes you look more of a fool than you already are.
But you keep to your guns and keep telling us how great Meyer is and how wonderful Vic and Jean are....the joke is on you and you can't even see it.
Embarrassing springs to mind

Kirchner has been the second best performing fullback since Monty. Fact. He has outplayed many of his opposites including Folau twice. Fact. He even outplayed O'Driscoll when played at 13 on the 2010 EOYT. Had he played in the semi final loss to Australia we would have been in the final, but as it was the fan favourite Lambie over ran his line.
Morne is the most successful 10 in SA history, the most highly decorated and our joint best 10 alongside Pollard. Noone else in SA has come close to him, Lambie has never been Super rugby standard much less test quality. Fact.
Matfield, who was one of our two best forwards against Japan, has been better than all of those who have been ordained his superior. Fact. From Bekker all the way to Steph. How sad it is these spritely youths get beaten by an old man. When Andrews said we must build our ENTIRE team and game around Du Toit Pom, the usual group of idiots agreed with him. Talk about knowing nothing.
And then there was the Damian fiasco, bitching at Meyer for the loss to Australia but giving the player who directly cost us the test a pass. Talk of dim witted, but holy hell that is pathetically laughable! And there was also the Aussie test that Lambie cost us, yep bitch at Morne and Meyer but the culprit is given the support. Then there was Goosen, he directly costs the team the Dunedin test and had a nightmare against Australia and NZ but is hailed the greatest 10 since Lambie (implying best in the world). Then there was the EOYT last year, Lambie and Reinach were both given a thumbs up by the stupid fans in spite of being dominated from start to finish in every game. I could cite over a hundred examples easily! So stupid, so inept, so utterly subhuman. But hey, play the big man knows it all. LMAO!!!!!
