The team selection was a disgrace in the first instance and it is clear that the present race-based selections are not working out.  here are real problems with virtually every part of the team and it is difficult to find players who actually did produce something.
But somewhere they have to start. and where wo8uld it be.   There was zero leadership  in the team and I am afraid that a whole new approach is necessary,   Lets start at Full Back - there is not really a bright spark at best - but Coetzee at least tried.  The only thing they can do is to bring in Willie le Roux - but full back is not where the main problem is.
It is in the wings - no defense one can speak of and nothing real attacking by them.  Both should be replaced.
I cannot see hw the centers could be retained either.  They were really poor.
Pollard was no improvement on Jantjies - who made two line breaks and was useless in all other aspects of the game.
For f3ck sake we need scrummiews not the two in the squad at present.
Did we have loosies on the field today.   All three was invisible - all three went AWOL.
The locks were putrid - the line-outs were so poor w\it is unbelievable.  Time to forget about Mostert and also the poor play of Etzebeth who provided no leadership and was sub-0-standard as well.
Lastly - Dreyer is not the answer at 3 and the fact is neither is Nyakane.
So what is left over?
A new start uis clearly required - but Toetsie is not the man to do it.

Selection is a factor yes. But I just think th abs outmuscled and outsmarted the Boks. Boks are always so dominant in th collision. The abs played the boks at their own game. Embarrassing yes. 0? That's bad. Let's just hope for your sake Boks improve when NZ face you over their in two weeks.

Ou maaaaike. Eben was huge. Du Preez and Kolisi were good.Nothinng wrong with Locks. Lineout throws went too far. That can be fixed. At a minimum to go:Bongi, Dreyer, Nyankane Cassiem
Scummies = FAF and Cronje
Two wings to go.
I would like to see Robert Du Preez brought in. Pollard needs game time before playing for the Boks!

Mothballs is my affectionate name for my "friend" Mozart...if you have ever gone into Granny's house and smelt these little white balls tucked away in cupboards you will understand why I associate them with the devious coffin dodger

"The Kiwis will punish Jantjies's out of hand school boy kicking and out wide Raymond Rhule's and Skosan's lack of physicality and poor defence. The Boks will be alright out in the middle until they tire but if they meander in patches of the game like they did last week and I have no doubt they will, then expect the AB's to slice and dice and then some. Quota selections will be under scrutiny and won't find a place to hide."

So to sum up let me make the following comments:-
*   Last year there was a disgrace for the Springboks in their local game - yet they were able to score a try away - a try made by Goosen and scored by Habana.   This time around there was zero points scored by the Springboks.
*    Etzebeth without Du Toit is useless - last week Du Toit made the play and took the key line-outs = this week he was absent.   Mostert is not physically strong enough to compete.
*    There was no punch in the backline - zero and I am afrais the team was not good enough to make anything happen.
*   Beast is strong in scrumming for the first two or three scrums - thereafter he is not up to standard.   Nyakane is Never up to standard.
*    The Springbioks could not compete in the line-outs and the problem is with the locks where for some reason or another they called the line-outs to go to Cassiem and he was not up to standard ever.
As far as I am concerned it is the wrong team to start with.   Pollard showed nothing when he came on and has a long way to go befopre he can be a confident selection.   I would pick the following team:-
15   Andries Coetzee14   Willie le Roux13   Harold Vorster12   Rohan Janse van Rensburg11   Ruan Coimbrinck10   Damian Willemse  9   Lopuis Schreuder  8   Marcell Coetzee  7   Lappies Labuschagne  6   Siya Kolisi/Jaco Kriel  5   Pieter-Steph du Toit  4   Eben Etzebeth  3   Wilco Louw  2   Malcolm Marx  1   Steve Kitahoff
16   Akkler van der Merwe/Francois Marais17   Tendai Mtawarira18   Nico Dreyer19   JD Schickerling20   Siya Kolisi21   Shaun Venter 22   Curwin Bosch23   Damian de Allende

Again with the fantasy rugby thing.

The drain from NH is not enough, too many players remain and people will play the fantasy selection game endlessly.

Selecting players does not make a team. The ideas on how to play rugby do. And SA cant play rugby. They have not a single idea about playing the game.

SA rugby has been inflated for a long time for marketing  purposes. In many other countries, football outcompeted rugby and SA was a convenient customer to be painted as a rival to NZ.
All this was made for commercial purposes: rivalry stories sell well

Now SA wealth is squandered away, shipped abroad. SA rugby is exposed. It is over.

Terminate rugby in SA. It is still time to do it willingfully before economical causes force that outcome.

SA rugby is loser rugby, always been. Was propped up for commercial reasons. Now the reasons are going, time to reach the proper conclusion and act consequently.

The biggest loss in history of Springbok rugby and still the excuses and justification roll in...pathethic..."nobody" was huge not even Eben...terribly disappointing...thought the worst was over and there was a ray of light at the end of the tunnel but it is obvious it is all wishful thinking...certainly expected the Boks to lose but was convinced that AB's were still as great as they have always been but a cricket score is a damn disgrace...AC is a Jonah and all those blood-sucking parasites and leeches that permeate our rugby should be fired but sent off to labour camps in Siberia or Kolmanskop and shot...sjot!

What really cheeses me off is those NH gits gloating as though they have actually won something ? Somehow a game between NZ and SA makes their teams coached by SH coaches and chock full of SH players better ? The same teams too useless to even make it into the semis in their own RWC ?I hate their boring shyte rugby and when any SH team plays then I will back them no probs, glad your boys gave France a touchup and last year the Irish werent good enough to win a series in the SH ,still.Fark those arseholes at the very least I expect the Boks and Wallabies to smack them down ,thank you that is all !

If you want to stir the NH wankers up ask them if ANY NH team has a winning record vs NZ ,SA or Australia.

All excuses are lies.
The All Blacks outplayed the Springboks and all their coaches.
The Springboks were never ever in the game with a shot of pulling off a draw or a win.
The All Blacks humiliated ever single Springbok their supporters and the proud old Springboks of the past.
If you do not select the best but the rest this is what u get.
Some of the postings on this board actually rate some players above ZERO......just shows how low our ratings and expectations have dropped over the past number of years.
The centers have once more come under fire for poor performances but the question remains why are they not performing.
Even if we had a player with Danie Gerber's skills he would not be able to perform either outside Jantjies at fly-half. Jantjies is at best a Currie Cup player with a few good games in Super rugby but what he is not is a test rugby player.
The fact remains that if it looks like a Duck, walks like a Duck, quacks like a Duck it is a DUCk.......even if it wears a Green and Gold jersey.
Sadly, not one player in the Springbok team today is a true Springbok in my view.
Congratulations to the All Blacks and supporters for the great victory and actually illustrating the total incompetence of what RSA has become.

No. Selecting the best (for whatever it means) will only remove the pitiful pipe dream that SA rugby could be winner rugby.

It tells that the excuse of not selecting the best comes in a post demanding to end the call for excuses.

SA rugby has been overvalued for decades. It never was what it was told to be. Marketing tricks.

No. It is about room. The international stage is where the SH is allowed to express.

If ever the NH came to dominate the international scene, this would end rugby in SH.

SH clubs are no match for NH clubs and the NH can live without winning on the international stage.

The world of rugby fear to lose SA and AU as their rugby go down into the gutter.

The world of rugby is about expanding rugby, not shrinking it.

I would say that any NZ club would spank not only the NH clubs but a good many of their international sides too.The Lions I would include in this as well.

No one could have predicted that score!!! The ABs always prepare for a massive battle against the Boks, the Boks just had a shocker, best thing for the Boks is to flush the toilet and move on as quickly as possible. Nothing gained from that game.. The ABs had the opposite game, where everything clicked 50/50 passes and off loads that usually miss or had been dropped like in the rest of the year started working. The forwards starting working as a better unit, the backs started integration with forwards and things starting flowing smoothly. But don't worry about the number on the score board... The Boks can't dwell on this they've been doing some great things this year, just have to get better at the basics .... That's all the ABs do is the basics really... Really well

Papamoa - kind of you to say ... BUT

The All Blacks came prepared and armed with a game plan ... the Goats didn't.

The All Blacks arrived with the right attitude (something they've missed all season so far) ... the Goats came as though they had already won the match, especially after all Coetzee's mouthing off.

The All Blacks selected their best, even though they're in transition ... the Goats preferred quotas and wannabes ... arrogant enough to think that they could take on the might of the All Blacks with their race based selections and 2nd rate fools.

The All Blacks had an intensity, a determination and focused concentration ... the Goats thought complacency would be enough to win.

The All Blacks came with the basics of rugby in place ... and then some ... the Goats thought that the basics of a simple tackle is over rated so why bother.

We have become a 3nd tier rugby nation and should not be allowed to compete against you. Zimbabwe and Namibia is better suited to our standard of play.

Congrats ... it's great to see you play the game of rugby. We've forgotten how it's supposed to be done.

You at 100% correct in this case and there are some issues I want to add to an already clearcut comments:-
*    There are of the quota players used yesterday there are only two who can be regarded as potentially worthy of selections- ie Mtawarira and Kolisi.    The problem remains ther are very good players like Mapimpi and Nkozi who is cut out by the present dudas from being selected.
*    Looking at the players used yesterday - I  highlight the actual merit selections even though I include some marginal players as well:-

15 Andries Coetzee, 14 Raymond Rhule, 13 Jesse Kriel, 12 Jan Serfontein, 11 Courtnall Skosan, 10 Elton Jantjies, 9 Francois Hougaard, 8 Uzair Cassiem, 7 Jean-Luc du Preez, 6 Siya Kolisi, 5 Franco Mostert, 4 Eben Etzebeth, 3 Ruan Dreyer, 2 Malcolm Marx, 1 Tendai Mtawarira

Replacements  :
16 Bongi Mbonambi, 17  Steven Kitshoff, 18  Trevor Nyakane, 19  Lood de Jager, 20  Pieter-Steph du Toit, 21  Rudi Paige, 22  Handré Pollard, 23  Damian de Allende

*   Players that should be in the squad are just not there.   In this category I would include Willie le Roux, Ruan Combrinck, Vorster, Janse van Rensburg, Schreuder, Shauin Venter, Marcell Coetzee, JD Schickerling, Wilco Louw, etc

*    I am more impressed with Willemse and Bosch as flyhalfs than any of the present flyhalfs.

*    I like thinking players who try and use different strategies - not the duds we uase at present.
