I phoned his parents - after all they are friends of mine - to find out about the injury and can sum up what his mother told me about the injury:-
* Frans went for a scan and it did not indicate a spinal cord injury - but it showed a "Bloedblasie" affecting the nerves adjacent to the spinal cord affecting the nerves making it very painful.
* The situation is that they are treating him through injections and pills - hoping to eliminate the problem.
* It is less painful and he has gone back for another scan to see whether the treatment is effective and the medical experts will then decide the way forward. The results of the second scan is not available as yet.
* If the present medicinal treatment is positive - the problem could be solved without the need for an operation and a long absence from rugby.
The news would not fit in with Mozart's ideas - he loves to see his disliked players being injured, Fact is in this case not a rugby injury - but a health problem.

Too many bellyflops for Frans Malherbe.
I was very impressed with Kitshoff over the weekend. His best Springbok game yet.

Should have phoned Meyer Bosman's mom. She probably knows better than Malherbe's parents.

Uh-oh . . . Gimp War #2!
Yesterday was Dense and Baboon-ou, today it's Klown and Dumb Ass.
I suspect the conceited and deceitful old toad with the emotional maturity of a 7 year old is the only one who can sort out the quarreling Servile Gimps. Heaven help us!

Nothing of the sort - Dumbo
Mozart is the one who constantly dwelt on injuries to players he dislikes he made and it sound worse than it really is. One just has to his postings of the past on Du Toit and Goosen. In the year before he went to Racing - in every match he played on for the Cheetahs there was a weekly report on injury to Goosen - in ever\y game he was supposed to have been injured.
In the case of Du Toit he went viral immediately - ie before the specialists report and he kept on insisting on a years absence.
It got so bad that at one stage it was clear that nothing delights him more than injury to some hated players.
You would never see him reporting on this site on injuries to players he likes - eg Vermeulen and his favourite duds.

This reminds me about these clowns who carry out the terrorist attacks and then, when push comes to shove, they claim to be the victims.
And, just to add insult to injury, there was a weekly report about Goosen's injury because he actually was constantly injured and was still held up as this God's gift to mankind. And then, ironically, when he had a kak game for Racing Metro, we were told that we have to remember that he ......... wait for it....... just returned from injury. F@k weet, maar jy is 'n eienaardige karakter.

For the record.....incidence of injury is part of what has to be judged in investing in a player. Lambie is perhaps the best example of this. But rugby fans don't take pleasure in the injury of any player, and I certainly wish Malherbe all the best.
