The last truce lasted about an hour before the fighting started again.    Each side blames the other side for starting the fighting again.   But the conditions suggest that a truce would not hold and was not a serious intention on the side of one of the parties in any event.

Now lets do better - lets have a truce on this site lasting 24 hours - ie until Meyer has announced the Springbok squad (some would say concoction).   Once that is done lets have a fre for all for the next week and then call a truce until Meyer in fact select the squad to face the Argentinians on 17 August.

That seems to be a reasonable suggestion - is it not?

One doesn't start a truce when you have the other side on the run....but in your case OOM a permanent truce and a ban of all statistics is probably best case.

it is impossible for a truce on this site to last for an hour - I am afraid.   It would be entirely against the "principles" of some members - or should I say lack of principles.

Turns out the latest cease fire Gaza (72 hours) was predicated on the US re-supplying Israel with weapons. Some cease fire They are not all they are cracked up to be.

Look, Mike it seems a bit rich to complain about abusive language coming from you. Arizona was banned for being a bit over the top, but where do you draw the line? Either no one is allowed to swear or everyone is. Arizona toned down his behaviour and actually made a positive contribution to the board. Now he's calling out a bit of double standards. Edd, please draw the boundaries clearly.

To me racism is out as is attacks on family members.FA has made a contribution to the board lately for sure. His behavior was over the top - I agree Denny. So to me ED is handling things well.

Ok, he was suspended and I can go along with the racism and family members being off limits. Bigotry and rasism is the same disease though and we see som e of that on here as well.

On the contrary some of the posters on this Rugby forum has been resentful for a long time which is why I believe some do not participate. Everyone is entitled to their own rugby opinion but not everybody is going to agree with what has been said and at times that causes insults and arguments rather than a civil debate. If they can not move on and be civil Ed should do whatever necessary to remove them from the forum for life.

Jerome, that is the nature of the beast on the Internet.  Grow a thick skin or go home. Over moderated boards die.

I must have missed the bit about him being suspended, reason I asked is because I think he has a solid point about there being one rule for him and different rules for others.
