I’m struggling to understand
Kwagga is very strong on his feet, but can burst through tightly congested areas. He can distribute too, and is secure. He is positionally sound and a nuisance at the breakdown. In short: He upgrades everything Steph does. Steph will be missed, but by the All Blacks. They always exploited his reckless and sloppy defence.
FFS Dave …..Kolisi has in effect been playing blindside and Dud Toit (55%) has been playing lock rover. We haven’t had an open sider/fetcher for eons. In any case why would you moan about Kwagga when Khalisi is so utterly useless.
Spot on, Mozart.
Kolisi isn't an openside flank... in fact he isn't much of a rugby player at all.
So why is he there?
Rassie sent him on a crash course to learn his trade at 6 ... but it didn't take.
The concept of openside play is beyond him. His small little brain isn't capable of grasping it.
Apart from that ... he isn't physically suited to the role. He has weedy hands ... they're too weak to wrestle a rugby ball away from the opposition ... his fitness levels is also questionable ... as a fetcher you need to be able to run between 8 - 10km a match ... flat out ... hit the deck ... remove anyone obstructing the ball ... distribute the ball to your team mates ... get to the next breakdown early to compete ... run skillful lines in broken play, linking the forwards with the backline ... cross cover defense ... and this you have to do all match long.
In all honesty ... can you see Kolisi filling this role?
Me neither.
Kolisi disappears within 20 minutes of play. You can usually find him resting on the wing.
His contribution to the team is non existent.
So I ask again ... why is he there??
Rassie recognized his failure at 6 ... and so tried him elsewhere. Turns out that he sucks even more as an 8th man and the standard of rugby he brings to the team on the blindside is on par with what we see at school level.
His inclusion at 6 and as the Bok captain has nothing to do with rugby.
He's a black man ... that is the only reason he's there.
The rest of his team mates have to contribute an extra 10% to make up for his shortcomings.
Kolisi is a quota ... a passenger that needs to be spoon fed as a captain ... and carried as a player.
He is simply useless.
Just another stupid decision from Fat Rassie.
Does that clear up your confused state of mind, Stupid Dave?
Let me know if you need anything else explained.
Kolisi stands outside lineouts, and forms a unit with the outside backs. Quite commonly 15 and 13 with 6, and out wide, near or in the tramlines. They'll occasionally have him target the seams with a carry. Thsat's where he can very occasionally launch a big run that has only once led to some points - the 2018 try assist to Damian against New Zealand, at home. Ironically, doing everything to setup Damian that Damian himself should have been doing.
Stupid Dave has had a love affair with the useless from way back.
It's the only thing he's consistent at.
From Coenie being the best tighthead on the planet to the utter brilliance of Elton Jantjies and Siya Kolisi.
We have even seen him fabricate gameplay in defense of JJ Engelbrecht.
I'm sure he's delighted to see Elton on the bench for the match against the All Blacks.
DaLindy is his latest fixation ...but as is usually the case, the penny will eventually drop ... in a year or two ... and then he'll confess his stupidity ... he'll admit he was wrong ... like he did with Elton a while back.
I have never come across a person as ignorant as Stupid Dave ... and when I say NEVER ... I mean NOT EVER.
Saffex, with your continued assertions that DDA is the best 12 in the world and that you wouldn’t trade any of your Boks with any AB to make up your team, I think you just needed to stop after “I’m struggling to understand”……..
Haaaaaaaaaahahahahaha!!!
