I made a number of serious mistakes in the heading of thread I started about Wilco Louw

I wish to sincerely apologize to members and am quoting my message to start real discussion on the  topic raised:-

Louw had the reputation of being the top tight-head in SA and Dave is still saying he is his first choice player in the Springbok squad this year.   Louw was never a player contributing much outside of scrumming, but n crucial cases a tight-head's major contribution is scrumming.

This is where things started to go downhill insofar as Louw is concerned.  He under Erasmus became the S pringbok bench tight-head, but in some tests he was found wanting as a bench player as well and Erasmus went for Koch as  the bench selection.

I thought that he would make a major contribution last night in the Jaguares game last night - but he failed in the game as well.   So my question remains - what went wrong with his scrumming?

Dave I will have to have a second look at the scrumming after Louw came on and will comment then on his scrumming in more detail.    There was no case I could see where he dominated the  opposition prop,
