I predict a loss tomorrow
No man, chin up... we'll get by.
I would be shocked if the Boks don’t win tomorrow. But if we do it won’t be because of Mostert who has consistently ranked as one of our best. Orie is a different story, but as posters so often opine….one player rarely causes a loss.
Swop Mostert back to 5 if things are tough and we are a forward away from our WC winning pack.
Nope if we lose tomorrow it will be because our game plan has gone stale.
We have bigger problems than Orie and Mostert. The gameplan is archaic and useless, our midfield is garbage, our phase play defence is putrid across the board - Josè has the most effective defender from last Saturday demoted! Thankfully the hopelessly out classed Lood is gone, at least Orie can move around. Boks will win.
Every one of these decisions was dictated and approved by Harrassmus.
Don't lose hope Dave.
To me it is more the game plan is not working as opposed to the players.
Last night I watched (for a third time) the game against the Aussies last week-end and cannot understand why they (the Boks) are so predictable in their repetitive plan of play.
The amount of kicking away possession and being unable to recovery possession and in some cases with no Springbok players even near the recovery point is amazing.
The times that the ball was distributed to the backline it was closed down quickly by the Aussies and the backline had next to no chance of making something from the "Gift" from Faf.
At this rate the management should select Elton at 10 as nothing is going to change.
Then we will have two players Faf and Elton providing up and under or their regular suicide passes.
I think it is time to start Jantjies at #9 and allow him to play his natural game.
Something has to change or we will suffer more defeats this season.
Do you need a hug, Saffex ?
I heard last week that Orie is being touted as the next Bok captain.
Makes sense. He is quality!
The Boks will win, I'd be in shock if they don't, problem is what will it take out of them?....will they have enough in the tank to take on the all important game against the ABs next week? If Nienaber is smart he'll make substitutions sooner rather than later, matter of fact it should be made at the break or soon after, he cannot expect to get the most from his best players next week if they're going to play through to the end. Rotation with smarts is all important.
Reading through the posts it's fair to say that there's a consensus of opinion that the Boks need to evolve their game, what we disagree on is the timing. We all agree that it's too late now, pity about that but ever the optimist there's a sliver of hope that the Boks can still win next week if there's smarts about rotating the bench in today's game.
Or how about Neinaber surprising us all today by getting the forwards and backs to give the ball some air, keeping the ball alive, recycle with zip, chopping and changing the point of attack and scoring tries without that old faithful.....the driving maul?
You were right...about Mostert...didn't see Orie much either.
... and then all the wheels fell off ... again ... against he useless Ozzies.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa!!!
It doesn't matter how many lists of quotas you bring, Stupid Dave ... you have a useless captain ... an incompetent 6 who has no clue how to play as an opensider ... a quota riddled team selected on race, and not on talent ... a useless coach who's only skill is disco lights and throwing tantrums ... no game plan ... a scrummie that doesn't have a kicking game, kicking everything away every match he plays.
An easy fix is firstly to fire the useless discotheque king ... put Jake White back were he belongs ... allow him to select on merit and merit only ... no interference from the natives.
Do that and you'll have the best players in your team / squad ... a proper game plan ... no passengers ... and world domination.
Carry on like you are and you will never fluke another world cup.
