I see Amla has just produced 2 hundreds, whereas De Kock....

 Not to mention that Amla is supposedly the prime no 3 ODI batsman and should not open for the SA ODI side.

I am not sure of Amla on ODI level - he is no doubt excellent in tests - but on ODI a questionable opener - and then we have another opener that should have been at no 3 and is not an opening batter at all.

Amla should not open in ODI's - he should come in at 3.  Scoring ratio very good  - but he was clean-bowled by a yorker and would have been better at 3.

 OK - play him as an opener - I have no argument with that. In recent ODI's Amla was often enough used at 3 with Pietersen and Smith the openers.  With the latter two being so ineffective, he was in practice an effective opener in any event.

He was in the team for the third ODI but we won without him coming in to bat. Since that series he has always ever been at either no 1 or no 2. He has not batted at no 3 in almost 6 years. Five years and 8 months to to the day, to be exact.

 The "dose" at it again.   Amla flopped a number of times last year - but the slow sub-continent pitches seems to favour him.   When the fast bowlers is on - he scores at a rate of just over 3 rpo - but at least that was off-set in the first ODI  by quicker scoring by De Villiers, Miller, McLaren and  De Kock.  Later on in the innings he picked up his scoring rate to about 5 rpo
The player that i really would like to see out of the ODI squad is Kallis.  He flopped in all ODI's over the past two years and was no better in the present series - making all of 1 run in two innings.     By the way  Kallis was also dropped by the Kolkatta Night Riders later on in the IPL after he amde a decent start in that series and then went down completely.   Time for retirement from ODI's is overdue.

 Hahaha....Amla flopped. Yep those two centuries, he didnt do that, it was the pitch.Tell you what Oom, let's have your Millers, Mclarens and de Kocks....I mean who wants to win.

 I never said Amla flopped - are you crazy?   I said he batted very slowly and that is a fact - he only poicked up his run rate later int eh innings against the spin bowlers.  Your assumptions are seriously defvoid of thinking ability. 
What i did say is Kallis flopped again.  So dead silence about that one.    

Well duh Oom. In a game which is over limited, saying a player is batting very slowly is tantamount to saying he flopped. Geez dontcha get that? 

 I did not say he fl;opped - he batter at just over 3 runs per over and in the later overs upped it to 5,5 runs er over.  I said he was initially batting very slowly - if you can read what I said - you would not make dud observations.

 Well deKock also got a C today....so you all can chill for a bit.

Actually I'd play de Kock Draad....but not as a test match opener. He has a great eye and for one day matches he can be devastating. But his technique isn't good enough to start a test against good swing bowling.

Nope. The point is the old Uberdoos, CleverTrevor said that Amla should not open because he used to be a regular ODI no3. And you cannot even say that I am  thumb sucking. It is right there, in your own words.

Sure = that may be th ebttr position for hiinm because he scores very slwly when opening - it takes him about 10 to 15 overs to get his run rate up to acceptabe standard.
