but how close did they come to winning. If they had won all wou d have been singing a vastly different tune. The difference a point or two makes is remakable!.

Please get some perspective. The chiefs scored an obstructionist try as both commentators noted. The chiefs somehow avoided two yellow cards. A correct call on any of these incidents would no doubt have resulted in a sharks win.

The sharks dominated the hapless chiefies in the second half as well.

So well done sharkies pity you didn't get your just desserts and win but we all know why. Another game filtched by a down under ref.

As for the Chiefs - on this form they have little hope of winning a super comp title. They should not allow the score to deceive them - they were the inferior team on the day.

Trust masinga will be sited and baned for some months for hs ino arms  very dangerous tackle. Reminds me of how the mongs from nz used to go in and tackle their opponensts just unde the throat with a shoulder. Always wondered if someone would get killed. Ban ou masinga for a good period and it will send out  agood message to the mongs not to play dirty like that. Disgusting stuff from the mongs!!

Beeno1, you sound like the Auckland Coach and Fans - "so close yet so far" - you don't have to worry about the Chiefs - they will do just fine - you should be more worried about one of the Aussie teams who might get preference over and at the expense of your team due to the Conference System.

Chiefs lack something one senses. Crusaders are ahrd competitors but not quite where they were. nevertheless both teams will contest the playoffs.

If we were at full strength I would bet on the Stormers. However things now are not looking as rossie now and anymore injuries and we might be history.

Lets face it the Reds have been lost without Quade and Digby. Star players are that and cannot be replaced.  Yours truly holding thumbs as this year one had a feeling it was truly on the cards.
