has been stripped of his heavy weight title. Apparently he had to defend within 6 months or be stripped...erm...just find it hard to believe that he couldn't find another obese, coffin dodger and semi alcoholic to beat up for another easily gained paycheck.

 It's not that easy.....Sonny, as you might have noticed(easy when you're not one-eyed) is very selective about who he invites out for a beating. Would have thought that there are plenty of no-hopers for Sonny to choose from....no?

SBW has a better shoulder charge but Bismark is better at chest stomping 

Never heard of Bismark ever being a street fighter, an aggressive rugby player does not translate to street fighter.

first 7 rounds of SBW fight with botha was surprising cos SBW was the better boxer landing more punches then botha did, but as it got to the final rounds, SBW endurance was tapped.
mean while botha who was pumped with banned drugs had no problems getting his second wind and dominating SBW whose only defence was hugging botha the drug cheat.

but the whole thing was a farce and it did more harm on SBWs image then not.

in oct though, SBW announced he wouldnt be able to box again for at least 3 years with weeks before that talk amongst boxing circles that joe parker wanted a crack at SBWs NZ title.
funny that SBW wanted to focus only on his rugby career after all that, lolz.

but i dont blame him, joe parker would finish SBW off quicker then he did botha with that round 2 TKO.

 A good fight for life bout would be between Bismarck and Paul Gallen. Bets anyone?

Glad you guys can focus on boxing for a while - 2013 was a painful year for SA in the S15 & although the Boks made excellent progress in 2013 a double thrashing by the ABs is a tough one to deal with. I know it helps when you remember that the mighty All Blacks are Rugby World Cup Champions but still it's good you can get your mind on something else.

 

Spare a thought for poor ol' Redsman, he has to digest the dismal season his Wobblies had & try & convince himself they are getting better. That takes some serious mind bending but so far the evidence shows he is more than capable of the level of delusion that is required.

 Don't get boxing, way too much corruption and fight fixing - the last fights that held any interest for me were the Tyson / Holyfield matchups.
Give me MMA any day of the week over boxing - especially the lighter weight classes. Some serious athletes there. Nothing but pure action. UFC has really cleaned up their act and embraced professionalilsm - judges decisions are rarely controversial, unlike boxing.
