So the AB team Eluckmiss played had the second worst record for all coaches who played 10 or more games. And of course the Aussie teams he faced were nothing like the Aussie teams of years gone by.

Still the NH is better. But were they? Neither France nor Ireland won a WC knockout game and the only team that did, England, did so against lowly Fiji… all the others, Wales , France and Ireland failed at the first hurdle.

By contrast White won his WC in one of  NZ’s best periods, under Henry. An 85% winning AB team vs Foster’s 70% winning team.

These are views you won’t get from the moronic rugby press, but  performances have to be judged against the opposition.

I thought the wee abs looked a very useful side in the RWC. Their forwards were better than usual. Scrum was very solid, they have some big lads.

If the oak had any sense he would just pipe down about Rassie. What happens if Rassie wins a third RWC. Doubtless the mampara will continue smearing Rassie and trying the demean his achievements. Mozzietard and Doos have very bad cases of RDS. In my view its terminal.

Plum the transition to a different style will be tricky. The reflex will always be to go back to what has worked. The trick will be to maintain the skills we rediscovered under Eluckmiss…..defense in particular….and add new basics like offloading.

To me our biggest omissions are forward ball carrying, the downside of Dud Toit and fetching, another downside of Dud Toit and also Kolisi.

If we want to emulate Ireland’s game for example, having a more aggressive ball on the ground game and some forwards who can beat tackles will be essential.

I do think Ireland is the model. Not radical, still based on forward strengths. But with more backline innovation and way better forward handling.

If we can learn the Irish game plan with our superior athletes Bok rugby could genuinely become the best there is.

I sometimes make waffles from a mix of oat fibre flour (100% fibre) and protein flower (70% protein) with a bit of standard flour to make it cook better. I use zero calorie and carb sugar, with 0% fat yoghurt mixed with zero calorie syrup. T he oat fibre claims to have no calories, as well as no carbs.

It is the healthiest junk food ever.

Still, you guys are playing against shit teams at the franchise level. It's a problem. And then what happens if the Boks join the 6 Nations and put RC on the backburner or bow out completely?

I mean, I know it was reported that SA won't join. But the success of the URC will get the money heads turning. 

Dunno if anybody saw but the Boks are valued at about $360 million...which people are saying is a sizeable undervaluation. Also didn't see a post here about it...

In a statement released by the Ackerley Sports Group (ASG) on Thursday, the company confirmed that they are negotiating a partnership agreement to invest in South African rugby at all levels, supporting the professional game, and growing the revenue base of the Springboks and SARU’s commercial activities.

The statement revealed that ASG will invest in a Commercial Rights Corporation (CRC), which will hold all current and future revenue-generating assets of the Springboks and SARU. CRC will be majority-owned by SARU, with ASG taking a significant minority interest.

While ASG has not released the in-depth specifics of the deal, a United States media outlet Sportica reported that Ackerley Partners is poised to invest $75 million (R1.4 billion) in the governing body SARU.

Sportica also reported that SARU will be the majority owner of the new entity, while ASG will hold a roughly 20 percent stake, implying a total business valuation of £300 million.

The media outlet added that the deal is expected to be finalised in May pending the approval of SARU members.

Co-founder Ted Ackerley said that ASG intends to expand the Springboks’ global reach.

“We are excited to partner with a legendary global sports franchise like the Springboks,” said Ted Ackerley, Co-Founder of Ackerley Sports Group.

“Our collaboration will establish a worldwide expansion of the most iconic brand in rugby.

“This investment in the Springboks represents a unique opportunity for us to match the on-field success of the team with the resources needed to establish and sustain the franchise as a global powerhouse.

“We will bring decades of experience and passion for excellence with us while listening carefully to the people of South Africa to ensure that this team continues to reflect the history and culture of this amazing country.”

With the 2031 World Cup heading to the United States, a deal like this will be a major benefit for the Springboks.

There have been reports that SARU was in talks with Six Nations partners CVC Capital Partners.
