Sas San there is truth in what you say...the proof and justification is in the record...therefore you have beauty according to John Keats but we know the truth, and sadly have to surcome to that and so do most of us but times are a'changing as Bob Dylan croned so many years ago..."the first man now , will suddenly be last".
If All Blacks can win this one and many others, it really will be a huge pressure thing in the short term and will attract bigger adversity in the medium and certainly longer term...eventually it will topple to SA, and maybe to Eng or France although they will forever be a minor threat. NZ will always sit on the throne of rugby as long as big power does NOT rule the RuGBY world. But I believe it will and big money (the friend now...and later the big curse or enemy) will rule sport including rugby. You and all members then will be pushing up daisies .
50 years from now, if SA still survives as a governable country, NZ and many other notable rugby countries will play in a different world...who really doesn't know...maybe the the USA, Japan or Russia or even China will win the the WRC.

im familiar with this theory of urs of the rugby landscape in the foreseeable future, but i dont really think it will pan out that way.
u only need to look at soccer to see the nations who were powerhouses 50 years ago are still the powerhouses now.
countries like america and china have come along way with their soccer, but all in all no one in their right mind would pick them to have a chance against the top tier teams.
best case scenario is they reach levels similar to that of the pumas and italy, and i doubt that scenario will b e achieved in my lifetime if at all.

Good answer San although I don't agree with you but neither you or me really cannot fore tell...Soccer or for that matter any sport cannot relate backwards...the world is changing at a very excessively faster pace than ever before and sadly the "god" of this world is filthy lucre...it's an ingredient we all need but excess tempts us and is a drug that distorts our values and blinds us...a huge drug for sportsmen and big temptation...indeed a paradox.
Rugby will develope into big business because audience creates bucks...it's that simple.
And rugby does create audience in SA , England and France with very respectable figures...spectators are the bottom line...anybody knows this. Empty stadiums without wins create huge financial problems for the sponsers and the players.
Soccer has been around England in minor clubs that still boast huge audience and likewise in virtually European country and that also includes South America at club stage or minor leagues...rugby is miles behind although it's stepping up.
The comparisons are ridiculous...I've watched both soccer and rugby in Europe and laterly in Moscow, the difference is laughable sadly...my wife is Russian and her cousin plays Rugby in Russia for one of their biggest clubs but if you get 2000 to 5000 per game you're lucky...soccer on the otherhand is like watching the Sharks versus Stormers in Newlands or The Bulls at Loftus.

What utter rubbish by the seb. We ruled the abs for many decades and provided we deal with the bent ref issue and get our house in order we will be on top again.
As even murray mexted noted our talent and depth exceeds nz comfortably. Unfortunately we are also propping up so many overseas teams as well.

Yes Seb we need to SA fans & European fans to keep the money coming in, it is good for the game. In return NZ will offer quality rugby to do our part in promoting the game. Each nation plays its role in supporting the game we all love
