as an opening batman or in any other position in the team.   Yesterday he was a joke in bad taste.   Yesterday a ball got skied by a Pakistani batter - easy catch.   Smith stood dead still  2 meters from where the ball eventually landed - obstructing another potential catcher.   That was not funny - Kallis, the bowler,  gave him a look that could kill and remained silent.

Another eerily bad case was that the ball was hit directly to where he was fielding and no run taken.   He threw the ball wildly at the bowlers end - missed the stumps and the overthrow went to the boundary - five runs donated.

And besides that he got stumped because he lifted his foot - safely behind the line and allowed the wicket keeper to stump him with his foot in the air.   Unbelievable rubbish.

This guy was bad in the Pakistani series in the Gulf States and SA started winning games with ease while he was gone from the team.   Yesterday he was back and a severe handicap as well.  Result was an SA loss.

Not an ODI player anymore - let him stick to test cricket.

LISTEN TO CLEVERMIKE THE WISE - HE IS NVER WRONG IN ANY PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT - BE IT RUGBY OR CRICKET.

Yeah, only problem is old "clever" can't even find the correct forum to air his irrelevant views. This is the rugby forum my friend, stop embarrassing yourself.
