1) Selections based on merit not provincialism....

2) A Bok team minus the Superduds...

3) A Bok centre pairing that gels..

4) A halfback pairing that gels..

5) A reputable Bok backline coach..

6) A reputable Bok defensive coach..

7) A Bok gameplan minus the senseless kicking ..

8) Bok forwards with brains..not ill-discipline

9) A Bok coach who can take the resources at hand to another level..

10) A Bok coach who has the respect of a vast majority of fans and then some...

11) A SARU board with credibility..

The joys of being a Bok fan I suppose,in Greek mythology we are like Thorn Birds, bent on impaling ourselves.

Lots of issues I agree Denny but if Meyer keeps progressing like this and manages to stave off his head hunters we should be in a for a very good period.

What did you think of the forwards aganst the abs - apart from Greyling?

Denny my friend if you got 11/11 you had better check again because you will be in heaven.  Getting any 5 of those will be a bonus. Oh, and you'd need a captain as well..

forwards were good, respect to HM on his loose trio starting selections...he read the play and muscled up. I don't like Jannie Du Plessis....surely there has to be better. Meyer's biggest issue is sticking to a primitive "gameplan."

Boks were much improved.  A fit Vermeulen and an adjusted Louw will make a big difference.  The plan can still work with the correct players and correct execution.  My vote: Vermeulen for captain.

I look forward to seeing how Jean's capataincy ratings go after the home tests. It could be from villain to hero.

Like Meyer he has been targeted and like Meyer he will rise to dizzy hights should we win. But underlying  reality is that he is respected in the Bok camp from all accounts and capable as otherwise why was he captaining the Stormers too. His play has been fine but he has been severely criticized there as well.

All this indicates an emotional response to how the Boks as a whole have gone. But the tide has turned so his fortunes will rise with the team in public /media assssment.
