In a lot of ways I'm glad that Samoa beat Italy.

Is there a final in this small test series? Do the two winners of this setup face each other...ie Samoa versus SA ( Scotland presumably will not stand against  us especially at Nelspruit...I have to be careful there because I've seen huge upsets before but there are no certainties in this mysterious game....the reason why I say this is that national pride creates miracles sometimes but is normally rare).

A contest with Samoa would be needed here or are we Saffa's too scared to face one of the spoilers ( the softener uppers...in the next world cup???

Seb In some ways it worries me - in the Durban test in the first 20 minutes of the second half the Italian forwards were all over the Springboks - while the Samoans outplayed the Italians up front as well in their backline. .We have too many passengers up front for instance Spies, Kruger and Du Plessis> Something drastic needs to be done to have an effective 8 player unit. We will see soon how we are going to do against the Scots - if we are again having problems up front - Meter would be well-advised to get rid of the under-performers. Last week Coetzee was not up to standard as well so I am going o watch with interest what happens especially as to the performances of the passengers I mentioned earlier. Hope we do not have an injury amongst the loosies - since that would force Meyer to bring on Kolisi - something like a Vodacom Cup level player at best.
