Meyer was good in 2013-2014, but the wheels fell off on the end of the year tour.
When Bismarck form declined- we became less effective at the breakdown. We tried to run the ball from side to side on back football- and conceded turnovers at will. After losses to Argentina at home- and then Japan- Meyer reverted to what he knew best of crash and bash it up. Schalk dropped his playmaking ability- instead occupied the ten spot with Matfield on his outside.
I highly doubt a Meyer team would be as bad as this. Something to consider is that Meyer stepped down. It was unknown why- but there was murmurs it was due to transformation targets.

I think you chaps are a wee bit harsh on Meyer ,he at least lived or died by his teams performance and didnt make excuses .Getting to 3rd in the RWC and losing by just 2 points in the semi is no mean feat .Plus he seems a pretty decent bloke .

Meyer was awful.
He left the Boks worse off than when he found them.
We lost every single RC test match last year under him and then we went on to embarrass ourselves further against Japan.
That is is his legacy.
He had so much talent available to select from ... yet preferred the tired and the old over them. We saw how that worked out.
Why on earth would we want this clown back?

White was gone by 2008 - so accept that and stop harping on it. Since then he had a career with more downs than ups- having effectively being fired by two franchises and breaking a contract with a third one. Should never have lasted until 2015 in any event.
