Quite a number of bull ehave been out as well.

The Bulls received a boost ahead of Saturday's clash with the Hurricanes when it was revealed that several players are set to return after recovering from injuries.

Deon Stegmann (ribs), Grant Hattingh (thumb), Frik Kirsten (elbow) and Mornè Mellett (knee cap) are all available for selection, while Jürgen Visser will have a fitness test on Wednesday to test progress on the dead leg that forced him to miss the victory over the Waratahs.

Jan Serfontein, Dewald Potgieter, Ulrich Beyers, Rudy Paige, Pierre Spies, Chiliboy Ralepelle and Ruan Snyman did not train on Monday, but according to team doctor Org Strauss, all will be back on Tuesday.

Marcel van der Merwe is also training with the squad after recovering from a knee-operation.

Paul Willemse (knee, 12 weeks until his return), Cornell Hess (knee, six months), Zane Kirchner (finger, two weeks), Frans Venter (groin, six weeks) and Callie Visagie (ankle, one week) are all still out of action.

Could be a strong finish by SA Franchises?

Of them all I think Marcel van der Merwe was the bulles biggest loss through injury.

Far too many injuries really - what can be done? Better conditioning and smarter play?
