Interesting changes by the Bargies

Argentina coach Daniel Hourcade has made six changes to the starting XV that will take on the Springboks in Salta on Saturday. Flyhalf Juan Martín Hernández and scrumhalf Tomás Cubelli will start in tandem, ahead of Nicolás Sánchez and Martín Landajo, who drop to the bench. The other changes are up front, where Juan Leguizamón comes in at No 8 at the expense of Leonardo Senatore. Hourcade has also opted for props Ramiro Herrera and Lucas Noguera Paz to start this week, while Matías Alemanno gets the nod at No 4 lock. Argentina – 15 Joaquín Tuculet, 14 Ramiro Moyano, 13 Matías Orlando, 12 Jerónimo de la Fuente, 11 Emiliano Boffelli, 10 Juan Martín Hernández, 9 Tomás Cubelli, 8 Juan Leguizamón, 7 Tomás Lezana, 6 Pablo Matera, 5 Tomás Lavanini, 4 Matías Alemanno, 3 Ramiro Herrera, 2 Agustín Creevy (c), 1 Lucas Noguera Paz. Subs: 16 Julián Montoya, 17 Santiago Garcia Botta, 18 Enrique Pieretto, 19 Marcos Kremer, 20 Javier Ortega Desio, 21 Martín Landajo, 22 Nicolás Sánchez, 23 Matías Moroni. ............ The pack and the scrum have been strengthened by these moves. Hernandez is a bit of a lucky packet, but he can be a match winner.....looks like the Bargies will be up for this one. If they can cut out the mistakes, this could be a contest.

I hope it will be a good contest Moz, I will watch this game live. The AB game is too early in the morning & not such an even contest. Argies forwards were very average in the last game. I still have the mental image of them pushing the bok pack all over the park a year or so ago.

Did you watch the test last Saturday - Senstore was injured and is not available.  Nobody is coming in at his expense - he is out because of the injury,   Most of the test last week was played with the starting loosies this coming week.  .
I agree with you though - and am not sure that the quick retreat system in scrums by our props will not return.   Lucky we do not have Steenkamp and Jannie anymore - in the RC away tests and even some tests at home against Argentina our props thoroughly disgraced the team and a repeat will make the game a toss-up.      

 Away from home the Boks usually melt like butter in the hot sun, this is their D Day, up against a non rugby nation I'd want them to win by at least 15 points. Failing that all the excuses can be found on home soil. I'm not getting my hopes up.

JW I watch hardly any sport live these days....too many ads, too much glorification of the talking heads. Golf especially....far better to have your fast forward button. Rugby is an exception...but. i agree the AB game can wait for breakfast watching.

I only watch rugby & usually on ESPN3 so no adds to speak of. I'll watch the Oz vs Boks game on Sept 9 as it starts at 6 am and I'm usually up by then anyway. That should be a good game. We will gradually get insight into how good the Boks are. It's good they have had some relatively easy games to get things sorted out. My impression is they are improving.

Last year the coaching staff was totally incompetent. I'm not a fan of Smith or Venter, but they are at least conpetent.....that's helped. The team seems more unified as well. But things could unravel quickly, the belief is paper thin..
