IOL probables:

Springboks (Probable): 15 Willie Le Roux 14 Cheslin Kolbe 13 Lukhanyo Am 12 Damian de Allende 11 Makazole Mapimpi 10 Handre Pollard 9 Faf de Klerk 8 Jasper Wiese 7 Pieter-Steph du Toit 6 Siya Kolisi 5 Lood de Jager 4 Eben Etzebeth 3 Frans Malherbe 2 Bongi Mbonambi 1 Ox Nche.

2019 WC starters

Springboks (Probable): 15 Willie Le Roux 14 Cheslin Kolbe 13 Lukhanyo Am 12 Damian de Allende 11 Makazole Mapimpi 10 Handre Pollard 9 Faf de Klerk 8 Duane Vermeulen 7 Pieter-Steph du Toit 6 Siya Kolisi 5 Lood de Jager 4 Eben Etzebeth 3 Frans Malherbe 2 Bongi Mbonambi 1 Tendai Mtawarira

….So only Vermeulen and the Beast aren’t there almost 3 years later. If  the average test career was say 6 years, in 3 years we would expect close to half the team to turn over. Harrassmiss sticking with what he knows, at this rate our team could average over 30 at the WC.

Well hes got to work with what he has... nothing. You think he has the tam play this shit for nothing? Hes smart enough to know the limitations and have a plan to make it work the best it can. Shyte depth.

There is Definitely not nothing.....we still don't have a specialist attack/ Backline coach....my candidate will be Dawie Snyman from Stormers....we have very exciting X Factor backline Runners in the Squad and in SA, not to mention our World Class Scrum and Loose Foward Power unit.....This Rassie has Coached very well with the Slow poison Tatic, that will neutralise almost any Top Tier Pack in The whole World....the Gameplan must just be adapted to accommodate the Running aspect, to compete successfully with Excellent Running Backs and Game plans from NZ, France and OZ.....R&N chooses to stick to there Gameplan, as it has been working for them...but other Top Tier sides are catching on quick, so it must be a bit different this year to bring new dimensions to our Game, and keep the opposition Guessing...Nienhaber certainly sees this ( I sincerely hope so! ) and maybe we will see what is new in formula when we start playing...I said in a different post, that new players must not be turned into bench warmers, but given Game time to create more depth. It has to happen, one way or the other.

Pity you lost the plot again.   Fact is the older players in the Springbok squad like Louw and Beast has retired totally or has gone totally off form like Vermeulen - while the younger generation players have not reached the 30 year age yet.   Why should they be discarded when in prime age for rugby level?

By the way Le Roux is another uncertainty for selection - it is clear that he is not what he used to be - never a pace merchant he is even slower that he used to be.   So don't count on his certain election.   Pollard is also a player whose constant injuries have counted against him as well.    So what will the actual team be like when announced this week?    We will have to wait and see.   What is sure - it is likely to include all your pet hate players.

We could easily reduce the age of our side without compromising its strength by selecting the following: Gelant for Willie Nkosi for Mapimpi Marx for Mbonambi Thomas du Toit for Malherbe RG Snyman for Lood Roos for Vermeulen These along with Kolbe, Am, Pollard and Ox would keep the majority of our side at the right side of 30

Mpower give it a rest. We're talking pros here. You don't need a git with a clipboard telling a senior pro how to run and pass. Fucking hell.

And yet Dave, only Roos is new since the WC and doesn’t seem on the inside track. 3 years of no new talent playing at Bok level has to be unique,

I’m guessing when your side is winning titles and ranked number 1 and around the 30 year old mark, you tend to stick with the tried and tested I can understand that to a certain extent but not to the point that a guy with the talent and form Roos has shown can’t even make the match 23 in the absence of PSDT and Vermeulen

Well Red Knob, if you look at a team like France for example, with there clever running lines and Creating of space with ease, that comes with clever coaching combined with the Natural talent of the individual players....that is why there is the saying " practice makes perfect "- if you don't have anything positive to say or you don't really know what you are talking about, then it's better you keep your mouth shut! If what you say is true,  then why the Fuck is there Coaches in the first place??!!
