Wait till the end of the year please.   And Meyer wrecked SA rugby through his poor coaching and worse player selections leaving real voids for his successor.

If that did not happen why did  SARU refused to renew his contract in 2015 ?

Augie ignore the teehee artist and please average the YE rankings for the various coaches. I would but I can't see some of the middle years because of the advertising.

"If that did not happen why did  SARU refused to renew his contract in 2015?"

The convenient fabrication again... Or should we just call it a blatant lie, as I have covered this before.

Meyer was the one not interested.

Himmell - Meyer's public comments on return from the WC announcements indicates his delight  with the possibility of coaching the young players coming through.   That was totally different from what you wrote.   Do you ever think before writing tripe?

1. The lie that HM’s contract extension was refused or that he was fired, has been debunked before but for what it is worth, here it is again: Heyneke Meyer quits as Springbok coach 11:04 03/12/2015 Cape Town - Heyneke Meyer has advised the South African Rugby Union (SARU) that he no longer wished to be considered as a candidate to coach the Springboks. https://m.sport24.co.za/Rugby/Springboks/heyneke-meyer-quits-as-springbok-coach-20151203 2. The average ranking of the Bok team, by coach, as per the above image: Jake: 4, 2, 4 &1. Average position - 2.75 PDV: 2, 2, 3 & 4. Average position- 2.75 HM: 2, 2, 2 & 3. Average position - 2.25 AC: 6 & 5. Average position 5.5

HM certainly has nothing to be ashamed of....and all that Rassie is doing is coming back to tried and true Bok rugby principles. I very much hope Rassie is on the right path, those of us who are life long Bok supporters felt the surge in the Force when we won in Wellington....but so far it's a mixed bag of choices.

I actually posted this out of general interest, not as evidence for or against anyone. Yet I knew it would trigger the plastics among us. We must surely have the worst and most ignorant fan base in all of sports. If I were a rugby player in SA, I'd take a look at how they have treated some of their best players, and leave. I'd feel no compulsion to put my body on the line for this.

Ceradunce - the total bird brainless after the head was cut off - has to quote the fact that Meyer expressed his own request not to be considered on 3 December 2015.   The brainless stooge did not realize that Meyer did that when it became clear that he had no future in hoping for a renewal of his contract.

The WC ended in late October and Meyer spoke a couple of times about he  looked forward to coaching the younger players in late October and in November that year.

It obviously was aimed at saving face by Meyer - if not he would have had another coaching contract to fall back on and there was at that stage none.   Losing a national coaching contract has serious negatives  if it urns out to be effectively firing of the coach.

There is no way Meyer did not want to continue as Springbok coach and at the last minute - realizing there was no hope of that - made a face-saving statement he was not interested in renewing his contract with SARU.

The question always remain is there anything more stupid on site than the Trooth Fairy and Ceradunce ever proved to be.   The most stupid members average race has ended with them in short-head position as winners.   I can really live with Mozart and AO - something that is impossible in the case of the two Village Idiots (Trooth Fairy and Ceradunce) as thinking site members is impossible.

What s pile of shyte. This essay was actually shorter than I expected but it basically contained what I expected. The man who is always trying to convince everybody that he always only stick to the facts is now telling us to ignore that facts and believe in what he thinks was going on inside HM’s head and accept that as facts. You need some serious professional help mate.

I have enough HR experience to know exactly how things are done in face-saving when it comes to non-renewal of employee contracts.

A reasonable employer will always allow for a face-saving mechanism in such cases to reduce potential damage to the future career of such employees.  In view of the earlier announcements of Meyer expressing his interests to continue his coaching of the Springbok team - that is exactly what happened in that case.

Now read the following and try and understand it:-

"The South African Rugby Union announced today that Meyer had advised it that he “no longer wished to be considered as a candidate to coach the Springboks”.

"Meyer decided to stand aside as coach‚ a decision he considers to be in the best interest of SA rugby‚ following recent developments‚" South African Rugby announced via Twitter."

Now Ceradunce the idiot may recognize what the highlighted sentence in the first paragraph above means.  To make it simple up to that point he was actively trying to get a contract renewal - but it became evident at that stage that he had no chance of a contract renewal.

I have explained this before to both Ceradunce and the Trooth Fairy - but one must accept they are too stupid to understand it.

Warra warra warra. Same old boring shyte. You are an expert at coaching rugby, yet you have never coached any rugby. You are an expert at analysing rugby, yet you are BSing at every corner. Your first option is always to attack the person rather than the opinion. You never, point by point, respond to posts of the guys that you don’t agree with. You are an expert at history. Yet you do not believe that there was no UK when the British colonised the Cape. You are an expert on French clubs yet you do not know the difference between a French rugby club and a French football club. Now, suddenly, you are an expert in HR as well to such an extent that you expect us to ignore the facts and follow your lead? You have to be smoking your socks or something.

Stupid comments by a piss poor non-thinker/  I explained a number of times what happened in the case of Meyer and what I did say all the time was in line with what was quoted above.   You and your fellow Village Idiot keep trying to find an escape route from what actually happened and when the situation was explained to you and the Trooth Fairy you keep on repeating the same BS.

Ceradunce has a problem - he ahs been living in England for years and do not understand plain English.

Can you explain the meaning of the following:-

"The South African Rugby Union announced today that Meyer had advised it that he “no longer wished to be considered as a candidate to coach the Springboks”.

Was it not he wanted the contract renewal  - but when he realized it would  not happen he decided to withdraw his candidature for   contract renewal?   Yes or no.

Cheers Aug. I'll just bypass the back and forth. One can't argue that the Boks, according to the rankings anyway, hardly threw their name away under Meyer. An average of second in the world almost throughout his tenure, except in 2015 where they were 3rd. If you had to ask me, sans this graphic, I would have thought they'd average around 3rd or even 4th during that period.

Hahahaha. You are farking hilarious. You question my comprehension of the English language, yet you are the one who claims that “he no longer wished to be considered as a candidate to coach the Springboks”, equates to SARU refusing to renew his contract. HTF do you get to the point where HM telling SARU that he is pissing off, has the same meaning as SARU telling him to piss off. What you are saying is similar to me telling you that the sky is blue and you go tell others that the sky told you that I am blue. Jys is ge-flippen-suip man.

Mozart

He withdrew because he knew that he did not have a snowballs hope in hell of getting the job.    He clearly wanted the contract renewal badly and the renewal was not voluntary at all.

The stupid stooges asked otherwise, but if he did not withdrew fairly late in the process - his contract would have ended and he would have been effectively fired.   A face-saving exercise by Meyer was clear,

He was in practice given the same kind of option that the Sharks gave White as a choice - either you resign or you get fired or your contract terminated for incompetence or unacceptability ,   In both cases it was effectively face-savers.   Standard practice in the case of incompetent coaches teams want to get rid of.

Draad I hear you. I also skip a lot of what they say when it is clear the debate is about Old vs Young, or Matfield, F Steyn, M Steyn, Alberts, PSDT, De Allende, Meyer etc. Seriously, any sane person must know for a fact that none of the protagonists can possibly add any new insight into these utterly exhausted arguments.
Mozter, just for a moment consider an outside perspective. You guys have been at it for nearly ten years. I can say with some certainty that more than 50% of all threads, regardless of the discussion, end up with you boys going back and forth with the exact same arguments, about the exact same topics. All jokes aside, if you had literally read the same thing a thousand times, would you really read it again in the hope that some interesting "nugget" might be added? Draad has a legitimate case for ignoring what you boys have typed when it is clear that the argument is going to degenerate into the same thing yet again.
I have had discussions and read numerous very interesting comments from all the protagonists, and they know who they are, outside of these boring discussions, which just goes on to prove that they are not retarded or stupid, quite the opposite in fact. B ut lord almighty, when they start with this regurgitated rubbish I want to chew my wrists.

Those discussions can become tedious. I know I detest having to repeat myself. The choice is clear, ignore it or add something different. Topics can take a different course depending on the contribution given. Of course, Mike does have an obsession. He confessed that he thinks of Meyer very often. I suggest some fresh air and maybe some sunlight in his basement; t hat crucible of emotional and intellectual conflict.
