Yes, Japan look like they've put a real effort into improving their game before they host the RWC. I've always liked their adventurous spirit but they've improved their set pieces. Still lacking a bit of bulk in the tight five but they're not lacking in spirit or talented backs . . . and Michael Leitch just gets better!

I was actually a bit disappointed by Tonga. It wasn't the strongest Welsh team but they buried the Tongans in that second half and the Tongans seemed to throw in the towel.

The Irish have a very good kicking game. It seems the whole backline can kick into space with ease.

Well done to the Paddies. You have done it despite Wayne Barnes, not because of him. There was at least one AB on the Ireland side at virtually every breakdown without as much as a warning.

It was a great game of rugby, what it means for RWC. Is another thing. All any team can do is take one game at a time and this was Ireland’s time.
As this Is only the 4th most popular sport in Ireland I think they have been great tonight and who would not want a win against the best team in the world.

I think we can all agree it was a great game of rugby by two great sides.
I know it is rarely a case that Ireland win v New Zealand but I think tonight showed who was the better team on the night.
I think NZ supporters will be gracious in their defeat and they will look forward to meeting Ireland once again if and when they meet up in Japan.
This is not about point scoring with each other it is about a game of rugby and who was the better team on the night.

The kicking game of the Irish where they chip it behind the defence is very hard to defend against. They are also very effective in the ruck area and contesting the high ball. The defence is well drilled and organised, and everyone knows what the game plan is
Scotland are a good team, but if the Boks had played Ireland today- it certainly would have been a loss for the Boks. Hopefully, the Boks can continue to improve, as a quarterfinal against the Irish looks like an early exit. If by chance the Boks did beat Ireland in the quarter- it would have been a very difficult tournament to even get to the semi-final.
Coaches will need to analyze the Irish to try find weaknesses in their game plan, or certain positions on the field .
