Ireland vs All Blacks

After the demolition of Italy , the All Blacks put in perhaps the finest attacking performance so far in the world cup. 

Italy is not good, but they are better than many of the teams in the pool stages.

Retalick and Frizell have transformed the AllBlack pack giving them the required physicality to compete with the best packs at the world cup. The Kiwi backs are always good, and they looked very good today behind a dominant pack. Substitutions were seamless and added to the intensity with fresh legs.

If the Boks go out in the quarters, it will be bad - but this is Ireland's best chance to win the World Cup. There is no guarantee that in 4 years, they will still have a team capable of winning (Sexton will be 42 by then).

The Boks are facing the hosts in the quarters, and their fans will accept nothing but victory. 

It could be a tragic ending for the Irish facing an All-Black team with their best forward pack. If they can beat the All Blacks, they get will cruize the semifinal and get to the final. (France or the Boks).

The Irish have done well against the All Blacks, but when their forwards dominated the All Blacks. They will see a different All-Black team, if the All-Black forwards can play like they did today.

Think like with South African Vs New Zealand warm up your reading into one game far too much.

This is a much better All Black team that the one the Boks faced a few weeks ago.

Or it might be something to do with the fact that it wasn't a meaningless world cup warm up game and it actually important to win.

The All Blacks where always going to win comfortably. The Italians are simply not good enough to beat the All Blacks and they knew it. A few quick early tries and Italy threw in the towel

Every game comes on its own merits. England looked unstoppable after beating the All Blacks last time round, only to get smashed by the Boks in the final.

There is not much between the top 4 teams and all 4 teams while respecting the capabilities of their opposition will believe they can beat any of the other 3.

For once Stav is right. There is very little between the 4 top teams. Unfortunately two of these top 4 teams won't make the semis such was the absurdity of the pools selections. 

Now that the Boks are through, we can make jokes about the Irish getting knocked out. 
This was Ireland's best chance ever of getting past the quarters.
