No idea if I'm going to stay awake to watch the hapless leprechauns probably smack some flabby walla-walla butt. Will watch a bit and see how it goes.
Ireland vs Australia - maybe...
Wallas running from their 22 straight away. JOC at 10 should make a difference.
Wallas persisting with the watch and wait defensive style that has not served them well and won't serve them well against Ireland particularly.
JOC throws a shitter of a pass as the Wallas was about to get wide of the Irish line.
Hansen over under the sticks, typical Irish try with slick handling and run arounds.
Jorgenson makes a meal of a deep free kick by Prendergasp, Irish lineout 5.
Hansen in again with almost a carbon copy of his first try.
Sad to say it but the Aussie defense looks clueless. No idea who their defense coach is but he's not earning his salary. Ireland scoring with the ease you'd expect them to score against Portugal or some of those fellows.
Lenny over for the Wallas, Wallas brute forcing it but they kept possession and kept hammering and got there. Lenny targeting Prendergasp who wasn't even close to up to it. 14-7
Decent game so far. Ireland are looking good. They may be a tougher test than the French. Hopefully we can play with 15 people.
Yeah it's actually been pretty good.
If the Wallas had a few more forwards like Valetini they may be more competitive. Some fine attacking now after a James Lowe fumble, pass inside from Daugunu just needed to find Lenny in a fraction of space and it may have been try time. Ireland got in there well to force the knock. Daugunu looks like a Koroibete style winger.
Pissing down with rain now.
Two terrific kicks from GP
This weekend's games have given new meaning to 50/50 ball from high kicks. Those slapbacks are just flying all over the place.
Smart play Lowe
Oupa Aki on.
Hansen in again. Wallas can't stop the Irish once they get down there in the red zone. Lowe would probably have been in too had Prendergasp given him the short pass instead of that hack of a kick wide.
JOC appears to be having one of his off nights.
More BS
Give it to Lenny now.
No need, Fraser burrows over. Well, dive more like. Burrow dive flop. Wallas somehow keeping in it. 19-14 HT
Okay so Ireland looks lethal from 10m out but they aren't exactly dominating things here and the Aussies have also managed to score from close twice, despite being pretty inaccurate in their execution elsewhere on the pitch.
Fiji trailing the despicable Frogs with their despicable TMOs 14-21 at halftime.
LOL half time and the Australians have scored 5 tries.
Ireland trying to rival England in celebrating little scrum offences.
Only 2 Stav, settle down.
Great tackle by JGP on Lenny and then the turnover penalty by Doris.
Ref on the Irish side, hope aus can win this one
Another high kick, another turnover.
Sua drives oupa Aki into touch.
Jeez, that was a lovely break by Prendergasp.
Bundi looks clueless
Ramos just missed a penalty, 24-14 France after 54 minutes.
Aus allowing Prendergasp to flourish, no fattie assigned to charging him and rattling his ribs.
Long drop
Droppie Prendergasp. 22-14
Fiji has scored, 24-21 now France leads. Go Fiji.
Aussies can't hold on to their passes. Getting absolutely nothing going because it's three or four passes and a knock over and over.
These Aussie guys have played too many big games this year
