We are now in that stage of cycling, where accusations have ceased to have much effect. There is no new provable information. In short the whole exercise has become boring....the cardinal sin on a message board.

With rugby in the offing it's clearly time to move on....but antipathies rapidly overwhelm rugby discussions.

So let me make a little suggestion for a partial ceasefire. Accept the argie bargie component on the Board as a necesary purging of all the foul humours created by Board discussion.....it will continue in any case, without editorial censorship. And that's something we really don't want as it leads to a moribund site.

But let me make one simple suggestion. Limit rugby strings to rugby, and on those strings avoid direct personal attacks. Disagree by all means, link it to other disagreements.....but don't get personal.

My fear is failing some mechanism like this, given the passions that have been stirred up on the Board.....every rugby string is going to develop into a slanging match.

Look for me to follow my own precription.

Regards

Moz

You only need to unload one barrel Dave....the one clearly signposted as rugby. My suggestion is, for those topics we agree or disagree, violently if needs be, but only on rugby..... keep all the personal stuff out.

But feel free to start other strings which pursue aspects of character.

My guess is this will act as a tranquilizer, and the rugby postings will predodominate.....as long as there is rugby. And that's about 9 months! In the silly season things will take there usual course.

But thanks for making this cordial ....onward and sometimes upward.

The only boring posts I’ve seen since joining up are that between yourself and Fat Dave.

Endless, monotonous, pointless, lacking in substance, irritating …

I’ve seen many a request made to the two of you to quit it … but sadly they were all ignored … and you guys carried on in complete contempt …

Now suddenly you wanna play the “better man” and call for a ceasefire … ???

How come??

Holding handies and staring lovingly into each other’s eyes, like you and Denny do, is something I’d prefer to avoid.

There are some awesome guys on this board, knowledgeable guys, some of which I hope to befriend … however there’s always a flip side to the coin …

That's life ...

I’m registered here because it’s a rugby MB … so if you guys wanna talk rugby … I’m game …you guys wanna get personal ... ok ... that's good too !!!

Capcap, your post would have some relevance if you actually spoke about rugby

Your posts are filled with hot air, rugby related they certainly are not

There is always a poster who makes the Capone post at this point.....somebody who has tried to get in on the action and has been largely ignored. He is going to soldier on, when nobody was particularly interested in his presence anyway. What a bore!

Would be funny if I knew why they do what they do.  It is like All my children or The bold and the beutiful (stupid) - Everything happens but actually nothing happens.  Aunty Mavis and her friends are like that too - mostly when they use tik.

I'm with Capone. Just because Moffie has suddenly realized what a spiteful and petulant little child he's sounded like for the last few years doesn't excuse his digraceful behaviour.

I'll be as grateful as the next person if Moffie grows up and starts posting like an adult but he's not getting any credit from me . . . he was entirely responsible for the vicious and juvenile tone of this board.

Oh well, let's hope Moffie can follow his own "precription" (sic) . . . but I'm not holding my breath.

Believe me RooiAAS your post is totally expected, and no surprise. It's only odd that you didn't beat Capone to it.

As for getting credit from you, why should I want it? I mean seriously, from what I can tell,  you remain a grunt...what have you ever done of any consequence?
